Went to a bar about 8 or 9 years ago...had a $10 cover charge bc there was a band that night. Almost went somewhere else. Well, the band was Whiskey Myers and I have been hooked since. Was awesome to see them in such a small venue.

Saw them at a bar in Springfield IL. They played for 3.5 hours and rocked it the whole time. I've never had a better live experience. Also get back into country. I'm here for every reaction.

This Damn Song by Pecos and the Roof Tops. I PROMISE you guys it is a guaranteed "playlist". It's 🔥 it's everything you love. It has this blues sound but also the band has grunge vibes. 2000s grunge like Puddle of Mud. More blues/grunge than country. But I promise you'll love every second of it. And as far as I see, only 2 reaction videos. So, you can pave the way. Long time listener. This would make my day.

Chris Stapleton and Patty Loveless sang You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive at the CMA awards and it was AMAZING!! I really think y’all would enjoy the story telling in the song and of course the voices are phenomenal.

You are correct!!! Whiskey Myers are great in the studio, but their live shows are off the charts!!! Another thing you touched on. Whiskey Myers are too country for Rock, but too rock for country. Most iconic artist of the past have had similar traits. Often times creating a whole new sound or genre of music. This band definitely has a unique sound that appeals to almost everyone. On their fan page we have southern rock people, we have metal heads, we have country people....all types. Its really kind of cool to think about it. Everyone coming together for the love of the music.

The first time I saw Whiskey Myers live was at a bar and they opened with this song. And they extended that opening instrumental part of this song for at least 5 minutes. It was intense.

Stone is one of my most played and all time favorite songs. This was a good song from a musical standpoint. I have never seen Yellowstone so not sure if the lyrics are referencing the show or the historical old west. You can tell they have an appreciation for their craft. Anytime you want to slip in some country or R/B l am more than okay with it.

Glad to see you come back to Country. I can understand where you're coming from. I know you guys try your best to try and get to as much as you can, but there's only so much you both can do. As far as a return to country song goes. This was a really good one. First time hearing, but have yet to come across a Whiskey Myers song that I didn't like. This one is no exception. You can hear the multiple influences on the song and you did a good job of pointing that out. Thanks for all of the content you've been putting out not just here on KZbin but also on Patreon of late. You guys are the best. Hoping this is a sign that maybe we might start getting a bit more country

If this is a sign of potentially more country. I have a few suggestions Townes Van Zandt-To Live Is To Fly One of the greatest lyricists ever. His ability to weave words together, to tell a story is amazing. Turnpike Troubadours-The Bird Hunters- Way back when you did your Texas Red Dirt marathon/tournament you mentioned them when it came to Oklahoma Red Dirt. It's never too late to go back. I really think you'd like them. Also think this would be a good intro to them Son Volt- Driving The View Technically Alt Country, but it's been about, if not longer since you've done any alt country, and based upon your past reactions you've both liked it.
