Good job Alan, you're right, Diageo don't let us have enough of this as a single malt. 👍 Nice sharp image and clear sound here too.

Nice one chap. I don’t know a whole lot about glen elgin so this was very interesting

It's a beautiful dram vin, the only official bottling from Glen Elgin...Diagio could do much more with this distillery, virtually all of it goes to johnny walker....at 45 to 50 pounds it's wonderful stuff...thanks for the feedback vin...by the way which bottle do you want to see next....GlenScotia15 OR Kilkerran8 cask strength..?

Alan I've just opened this. It's bloody beautiful stuff. Had an independent bottling of this which was sublime. This is really good to.

By chance I was lucky to have this whisky I bought the Deanston 12 yrs and this whisky was in the box, so liquor store realized their mistake and sent me the Deanston 12 yrs and I was able to keep this whisky what a gem I’m enjoying this very much and wonder if I should buy one as an investment it’s a lovely dram I think it matches many speyside whisky 🥃 thanks again I always love your reviews and I picked up exactly the same taste on the pallet.

Nice review Alan! I’m leaning toward the GS15, just because I haven’t tried it yet, but was considering opening it up myself this week.

I'll do one of the next week it looks like the GS15 at the moment so fingers crossed...thanks for watching...have you tried the Glen elgin 12?
@robklompstra29766 жыл бұрын
the whisky friend I haven’t tried the Glen Elgin 12. Unfortunately, here in Canada, you don’t see many, if any, official Glen Elgin Distillery releases. They’re typically independent bottlers bottling’s. I have a Cadenhead Glen Elgin and I believe that’s the only one I have. I have a hard time opening bottles I have only one of and especially it being the only from the Glen Elgin distillery I’ll have to hunt down something else from them in order to try them out. I had set out a few years ago to try and get at least one bottle from every working distillery in Scotland. I was pretty much there and then all of these new distilleries started popping up and many didn’t have releases yet. Kininvie and Daftmill are two that finally have releases, but they’re difficult to source here in Canada thus far.

@@robklompstra2976 not sure if you can source from the whisky exchange here in the UK...they have it and it's the only official bottling from Glen elgin..in my opinion it's a defo buy if you can get it shipped there...

the whisky friend I can’t here in Canada. I know there are a few states in the U.S. that can.

Nice vid. How can you comare it to Balvenie 12 doublewood?
@thewhiskyfriend5 жыл бұрын
thanks Kamil P thank you my friend.my comparison to the Balvenie double wood ...the double wood is friutier floral and more delicate....the glen elgin is darker, dark dried fruits and spicier than the DWood...i just prefer the glen elgin as its a little more challenging, however the balvenie has the better nose...cheers my friend...where are you from my friend..?
@Gerekko5 жыл бұрын
@@thewhiskyfriend thanks for the detailed answer! I suspect that Balvenie is more sweet than Glen Elgin? Im from Poland. cheers!
