I am actually stunned to discover that Käpt'n Blaubär exists not just in German, but, at the very least, English as well. He's from a very popular children's TV show and he's known for lying whenever he opens his mouth, but so elaborately that it's clear even to the very young audience, but the stories are always very funny. I grew up with this show, and it's still running, and I may be over 30 but I WILL stop my channel surfing if I come across this show. One does not simply grow out of this. ❤️

Brilliant :o) takes me back to the times when I used to take my girls to the library - I knew I would have plenty of time to pick a book for myself as well, as our branch had a wonderful children section with games, toys, books of course and many cozy nooks for reading :o) also brings to mind a very old fashioned but charming second hand bookstore in St. Catharines, Ontario

Lol my library show and tell would be so boring because the vast majority of my books are nonfiction. I have probably a couple of fiction books, but only because I got them for free and have no reason to get rid of them. I do read fiction, I just don't keep them. I see them as more of a consumable, like a snack. You read it and move on, like watching a KZbin video. I could see myself maybe having some of the big classics, just to seem more sophisticated, not for re-reading.
