1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 NIV has now popped up three times just throughout today. In my New Testament study book, a conversation I had with my mom about a sermon she watched by Francise Chan on RightNowMedia, and now this video. I’m not sure how or why this message keeps popping up just today, or what God may be telling me, but it definitely has me thinking (EDIT) make it a fourth time. On this same night, five minutes ish after I commented this, I got distracted and clicked on a podcast where I saw this verse paraphrased in the comment section. Y’all, what? God, what? I hope my eyes are opened to the correct intention of God by showing me this verse.

After service I went and bought a bunch of food ,and didn't think I just ate it. I know God gave me strength to take the first step of recovery today and I am so grateful.

A good place to start in the Bible is in one of the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. And make sure you have a translation you can understand. I recommend NIV, but whichever one works best is good. 👍
