i have a lot sympathy for young alicent especially…she was a pawn in her father’s political gain. she was forced to marry young, had children when she was still a child herself and just overall had to grow up way too quickly. i don’t dislike older alicent either but i think because she’s been surrounded by such power hungry people for so long, she’s learnt the way of things. she’s not a naive little girl anymore.

Even Olivia knows she’s not complicated, haha. She wanted power and wouldn’t stop at anything to get it. Shes actually one of the least complex characters in the whole RR Martin universe. Everything she does is self serving and she is truly evil at her core. She doesn’t even love her children. At least Cersi loved her kids.
