Buckethead's music is like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. In the same way Buckethead's music just fits into anything. Any mood, any situation, anything. You listen to it, it becomes a part of your soul. That is the power of lyricless music.

Wow. What a great way to describe it. I feel the same way about it. He has a album/song thats called Rivers In The Seas. Each of us is a little river & by uniting & coming together we flow all into the same sea of peace & happiness. We share the same blood, dreams hopes & same mother. Mother earth that is. If peace & serinity would have an actual sound. Thats what it would sound like. Bucketheads music is almost surreal. How 1 man can compose over 300 records & still sound fresh & exciting is beyond my comprehension. I actually write beautiful poetry to go along with his songs. Im.currently working on Underneath The Arctic. Which most likely is an outcry to Climate Change. Cheers

@@sleepy_timezzzcapo3576 -- Literally was the first thing I thought when I saw this comment and came to say the same. _“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”_ -- Bruce Lee

Hey man, real sorry for your loss! from one fan to another I'm glad you are able to find solace in BH's music as I see a lot of fans do and likewise with me his music has been a light in some dark days! I believe the bucket and mask helps him alot in dealing with anxiety when performing but also from happenstance as he put them on one day and a friend dared him to go on stage like that if i recall and he said it just felt right. Theres an interview he did if you're interested in digging deeper into his persona kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5nNgmido9KEpsU I can't pretend to know what your going through and I'm not really sure what to say but I wanted to write to let you know your not alone and all us BH fans are here for you!

No parent should have to feel the pain of outliving their child. That's a tough pill to swallow man. There has been no confirmation that he has asperger's or is somewhere on the autism spectrum but that has always been my impression of him. Clearly his brain is functioning on a different wavelength than your average mouth breather. He may well be a savant. I mean it makes perfect sense, the mask and kfc bucket are a way to hide his insecurities and neuroses. I even know an autistic teenager who wears a bunny mask and gloves when he has to interact with anyone. He says he doesn't like to feel exposed when he talks to people and the security he gets from it makes it so he can carry out normal conversation. If he didn't have his mask he all he could think about was how he didn't like not having it and be unable to think about anything else let alone converse. So for buckethead maybe he uses it when he plays so he feels safe and calm and is able to astound us all with guitar playing that at times borders on something the rest of us do not have the ability to comprehend. He claims to channel and harness the energy from all the dead chickens kfc has slaughtered over the years to help him play guitar. So alternatively the bucket is a conduit for the spirits of billions of dead chickens. So either autism or chicken based necromancy is how he plays like that. Or maybe he sold his soul to the devil

My husband introduced me to Buckethead just a few months ago. It’s beautiful and angelic to begin, the way his music cradles the most raw, suppressed emotions and gently unravels the pain, sorrow, and sadness that I buried long ago to survive. And in turn, with the power of his melody - building my strength, courage, and the will own my emotions as they are. When they are. Specifically To acceptance, compassion and understanding. My forever drained energy and absolute need to gradually unwind all the intertwined complexity’s of my past, he releases a piece of my spirit- with every note he resonates from his soul. I would consider myself fortunate to ever make it to a concert. I can only imagine what it could provide my soul... to be surrounded, and musically be fully captivating, diminishing the heartaches, and set my spirit free. Thank you for what you’ve given, not only me as well as my husband. Truly captivating and healing.

The concert is great. I've never been more at peace in a crowd of people drinking. I saw him at the Basement East in Nashville, TN in 2019 and I still remember every minute. He passed out toys and he gave me an emergency blanket. I keep it with me all the time. I hope he starts touring again soon.

My life would lack a lot of taste if it weren't for his music! ! And I always think about how he turned his sorrow into a gift that the rest of the world enjoys and cool downs from. Thank you Bucket-head! I sincerely wish you nothing but more power and awakening, taking you closer towards deeper tranquility! God sent him so we could have our heart touched by true expression of life, love and how much we need to focus on those 2 things instead of money, fame and power. His musical conversation to us explain clearly life well lived is full of love only if you live for love before living for wealth. You know; along your journey when seeking love/light you dont even noticed that all the wealth you thought you needed was an illusion. Truly the true riches lies between the anacrusis f every song I listen to by him. Just listen

I wish I had known that before 2020. First time I saw Bucket was when he came out with GnR at the MTV Music Awards in 2000? 2001? And all I ever knew after that, was he was a super shredder so I never listened. Then I learned to play, guitar and my ears opened to all sorts of music I would've never listened to. So I jumped into Bucket after coming across an, ambient Playlist from Natternet or somebody. I forget who. I know the exact video though lol. It includes my favorite Buckethead songs. Edited: it's called 'relaxing mix' by Terminal Passage. I was HOOKED after just that 1 single vid compilation. 👌

What I love most about Buckethead: it is a constant source of discovery listening to his music. Even just one album takes so many different twists and turns, you can keep discovering new things in it. But the sheer amount of music he has put out, easily eclipses any other artists of even the greatest proliferation that I know of.

Dear heavenly God, father of Christ and also me, thank you so much for all my sins & miseries & bad I experienced having led me to you! Thank you so much for having revealed to me fine music & especially Buckethead & others for finding comfort & courage to live on! Thank you, my heavenly father, for having revealed to me your son Christ & has made him my new life as a new creation! Thank you for all you did not only for me, but for the whole world you are at peace with through Christ & you do not count the world´s trespassed against her! My father, before entering the area of empty words, let me thank you for all you are performing & have done! In Christ´s name I thank with amen! Paul Paulsen from Germany.

You are still in the presence of Gods anwrs and responses to you. If you are still listening to this light worker, you sit in concert with one who has been sent down to the physical realm we call Earth because God so loves us and gets us. We no longer take comfort from our leaders,(doctors, gov., or parents for that matter) but nothing can disturb, interfer with or distort the musical genius of the tones and tempo that convey directly to your soul words of wisdom. words of comfort, words of how to break free...wear a KFC hat or the chicken they sell instead. Be the chicken..everything is open fo your own personal message.

I love the story about how Ozzy auditioned Buckethead and chose him to be his guitarist, but said the bucket would have to come off first because it was too weird. Buckethead turned down the gig over the bucket.

Lew Skaanen yeah people love him for who he used to be. He was on top of the world influencing many others. He was who they looked up to. I guess they just have that respect for him. I agree he’s a prick sometimes but hey he was always drunk and high off of anything nearby during those times.
