Loaded my 1500 chevy with engine blocks to scrap.. The frame broke by the spring hanger. So i loaded the entire truck and load onto my f100 ranger and hauled it all to the scrap yard. The f100 was a cab and a half till i cut the back of the cab off to make a ten foot flat bed. Had to pull the rear bumper down and jack the cab up to put it on tires to get the clearance . 6000lbs in blocks. 5400 in chevy lbs. I put super heavy 15" trailer tires on the rear to hold extra weight when i scraped some molds that weighs 9000 lbs each. The f100 was a rot bucket when i bought it for 100 bucks. Still have it two decades later after scraping the chevy i paid 500 for and had it for a week before i broke it.

Those trucks are tough my grandpa has one!!! 454 all time 4x4. Things a beast!!! It has a push bumper mounted to the front wrapped in rubber for pushing sprint cars! It'll mow through any wood post no damage lol!!! Honestly my brother fixed it up and it puts modern limited slip 4x4 's to shame!

These trucks are brutes, the shit we put them through on our logging teams back in the early 80's was a testament to their durability. GM hasn't made a tougher truck since the squarebody and they never will. Fun seeing guys still putting them through their paces instead of babying the hell out of them! Put them to work, a squarebody will never stop begging for abuse!
