Whit Friday 2022 - The Triumphant Return!

Since 2019, the annual Whit Friday contests have been cancelled due to the Covid pandemic, but this year they returned in spectacular form, with some very imaginative and original marches up to the contest stages. Here are some of the best that we saw!

Thanks so much for the upload . I love Chav Brass !! I know I have said this before but for me they get it totally right . A great time on the road march creating a happy party atmosphere , fun and audience participation . But when playing on the stand they perform a 120 year old march to the highest standard they can ( winning a few prizes along the way ) ! Long may they entertain us !

I do think Whit Friday is evolving, I think Deportment prizes may well be scrapped soon and replaced with an entertainment prize, or maybe run alongside the deportment prize. Looking at some videos, it seems much more value has been placed on entertaining crowds.
