The White Bhut Jolokia or White Ghost Pepper if that's your thing, one of the many colours of the Awesome Bhut Jolokia, former record holder. Distinct flavour and burn, have been looking forward to actually getting a White one, grown from many different sources over the last 4 years but all have turned Orange, this is the 1st year that have white pods, the seeds were sent from Adam in Poland, details below..
the plants look spectacular, grow like a normal Bhut, solid plants that get to around a meter tall in the pot, in ground would get bigger, about meter and half tall. Fairly good producer for a bhut, pods are about 5 cm long and 2.5cm wide that start off a lightish green and then go to a creamy white, ripening White.
Dingo is up for the day so Today we have a crack at the White Bhut Jolokia
What's it Like ?
How Hot is It ?
Sweet bhut flavour minus the bitterness,, Beautiful and new favourite bhut, all the harshness in flavour is taken away so it's a fresh sweet taste Amazing and have to try to believe, the flavour stays for ages as doesn't get overpowered by the heat. We both Loved it
Heat is the normal bhut build but again not a harsh burn, under normal bhut heat, its actually a really nice burn for a superhot, not stingy or hurting but builds to a great level and then stays for ages, we both loved that as well
Overall Spectacular, grows really well, Looks Amazing with the White pods, tastes Amazing and the heat is Excellent so couldn't recommend anymore and 1 of those that have to have if can get.
Can get the seeds whilst available from www.thehippyseedcompany.com
The seeds were sent from Poland, Adam Jankowski Thanks Adam
Adam and his friend are starting the FIRST polish chilli site ;) with food recipes and some articles about "how to grow chillies". Adam is a vegetarian and his friend is meat-eater, but they
both like chilli.
•So the website will contain recipes with the same food in two Versions - vegetarian and non-vegetarian with chilli of course
•Information about "where to buy chili seeds
•Growing information
This is their website: ost.re But it's in Polish
Adam is going to make cooking with chilli KZbin videos, Only waiting for the polish summer and fresh pods.
Thanks Dingo for joining in, see ya soon for more awesome chilli adventures
Hope You Enjoy
Be Excellent

Jut had one while watching this vid (grown from seed from you guys obviously). I was a little out of practice but god damn they are tasty. Heat was huge for me and I only had a baby one. The heat only lasted about 5 minutes but I am definitely overwintering this plant and hoping for the best next season. Top job!

What is over wintering
@DFrizzle

@@IPursuePeppers-CTH Keeping the plant alive over winter (when chilli plants naturally only last 1 season). So you can start the plants again the next spring and they already have an amazing root ball and infrastructure to explode the following year.

I love cooking with these combined with some habs . I find it a slow burn. Nice way to surprise people when they taste your food. Passes pretty quickly though. Might even be my fav.

I grew White Bhut Jolokias this year along with Choclolate Scotch Bonnet, Carolina reaper, Borg 9, Cabai Kopay, Orange Habanero and Yellow Habanero. I must say that my favorite (tastewise) is the White Bhut Jolokias.

How did it turn out? I always keep a bag of these frozen and i just eat them like snacks. I think they have a very special almost pineapple taste. Frozen ones reminds of pineapple icecream :)

severall. calcium and sulfur, i learned a neat trick where you can get a direct shot to the vein by using tums for calcium carbonate and then epsom salts for the sulfur. Shortly after supplementing i ended up with at least 50 pods more incoming!
