KING SUPREME, I AM SO GLAD NOW YOUNGER STUDENTS OF THE GAME CAN HAVE A BETTER APPRECIATION OF THE TALENT, SKILL & BASKETBALL IQ OF PLAYERS BACK IN THE DAY THAT PERFORMED AT THIS HIGH LEVEL EVERY NIGHT. The elbow pass is what always makes people say. OMG. This guy could throw any pass anywhere at anytime. Teammates had to pay attention or eat basketballs.
@johnathon57992 жыл бұрын
Team mates had a hard time playing with him because he’d anticipate movement and they weren’t ready for the ball. This led to a bunch of turnovers and him being under appreciated. Poor dude saw things ahead of time but got nothing but hate for his teams lack of awareness. He’d also unnecessarily extend a play to get the assist when he could have just scored.

He is talked about plenty. Maybe not among kids playing videogames, but every pro knows him.

He was so much fun to watch. He went to the same high school as Randy Moss. They played ball together. Randy used to catch oops from Williams like crazy. NBA needs more street type players again. Rafaer Alston "Skip to my Lou" also made it to the league. Alston has his own dribble signatures on 2K even.

Fun to watch but not very efficient overall. For pure PG check out John Stockton who is under valued due to playing in Jordan era. Dude was tough, maybe a little dirty but in good way. Also if you haven’t checked out Wilt Chamberlain fast as Lebron, jumped as high as MJ and stronger than Shaq.

@mikehink40622 жыл бұрын
You’re right, Williams should be talked about more but time has that effect of leaving people behind. And all of the people posting career stats, you’re posting numbers that greatly diminish him because in his later years he played significantly less minutes. He was SO fun to watch though because you never knew what was going to happen the next time down. I still remember when he picked Mario Elie’s pocket and dunked against the Spurs. Talk about a “hype” moment... JWill isn’t spoke of enough (even though actual pros that played with him will say he was the best passer/dribbler they ever played with), definitely underrated.
@TheIcemanthomas2 жыл бұрын
No he’s not underated. He was fun but y’all have to stop speaking as if he was a star. He was an okay role player with fun and fancy passing ability but not on the level if the truly great playmakers.

There are better clips of that elbow pass. I was fortunate to see him play in high school where he was throwing these kinds of passes to Randy Moss as well as teammate Bobby Howard (football star at Notre Dame and Chicago Bears). Three professional players all from the same HS class, from the same small school, doesn’t happen very often if ever.

He's one of the most FUN passers of all time but he wasn't a terribly efficient player. He shot less than 40% for his career which is terrible and he finished his career with 6 assists per game as a point guard. That hurts him when some of the greatest point guards to ever lived played near or during his era (Magic, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash)

Jason was a decent point guard, but not great. Early in his career, he was style over substance. He had a lot of turnovers. He would throw the ball away or bounce it off a teammate, as they werent expecting the pass. He wasnt a great shooter either. While the crowd loved him, coaches did not. He kept getting traded for more consistent PGs. He has one of the best highlight reels of all time, though.

Below average shooter, a turnover machine and a non existent Defender. Lots of flash, little to no substance.As a PG, had the ball a lot and yet his Assists numbers simply aren't there. His minutes steadily diminished due to his inefficiency. Always a HighLight worthy play or two per game, but beyond that, hurt his team more than he helped.
