Season 4 was mostly dogshit to begin with, unfortunately. They didn’t allow the original creator, Aaron Mcgruder, to have anything to do with s4. There was one hilarious episode in 4, but literally the rest of them just… weren’t funny at all. The animation style changed too and looks strange

So, this episode hits on a BUNCH of events that happened in 2009. In the beginning, we see the KFC commercial, which was a parody of the pretty terrible KFC commercial that aired then which had people of color dancing around while eating chicken. The parody where they ran out of chicken, is in reference to the Popeye's chicken shortage of 2009 where they advertised an 8 piece meal for 4.99 and they ran out prompting alot of people to riot and go crazy. Lastly, the pandemic they are referencing is also from 2009, and is the H1N1 Swine Flu epidemic. Pres Obama declaired a national emergency. This episode aired in AUG 2010. Great content. Take care!

This was the episode where I realized what a burden grandad and Riley really are to Huey. Even their entire setup, only reason they have so much money is because Huey and Rileys parents were supposedly rich and left enough money for them to be taken care of after their death, but watch how Grandad squanders it. He's no different than Riley, pure ignorance and foolishness and Huey is literally a gifted child who remains uncultivated and self developing.

I've been binge watching all of your Boondocks reactions. You two are absolutely hilarious. This episode aired in 2010, and was based on a 2009 story about a Popeye's the actually did run entirely out of chicken. Not sure what the disease part was based on. But the episode ended up predicting the 2019 Popeye's Chicken Sandwich craze, and the 2020 pandemic. And at 15:40 when they mention Bluto's Chicken and Temple's Chicken, they're parodies of Popeye's and Church's.

Canes & unrelated to chicken, but In-N-Out is also terribly packed like this every single day. You'd be driving or walking by, look to your left or right (depending on where it is) & the lines are always so massive & at all times of the day. You have to have the patience of a saint to wait in those kinds of lines & I couldn't even imagine working those jobs, always having an overcrowded restaurant inside & out. Even when I worked at a a buffet in a casino it was less busy than what these places get, unless it was like a Thursday or Saturday because they had specials those days (Steak Day & Seafood day).

They are referencing the The road warrior which is the original second sequel to the original 1979 mad Max starting. Mel Gibson and Mrs. Van housing is dressed up as Tina Turner from mad Max beyond thunderdome which is the third mad Max movie. You guys are probably familiar with mad Max fury road with Tom. Hardy is mad Max but originally Mel Gibson played mad Max and did three movies that are iconic and One of my favorite film series of all time. It's based in an apocalyptic society that's crashing down hard great film series. I highly recommend it. If you guys have any questions please let me know. I am a mad Max expert. Please ask ask ask.
