Hell if you want to become a pilot you can become a pilot for nearly free. Unless you are white. I understand what this young woman is trying to do, however her approach is misdirected. She is trying to ensure that the Black community is being helped without other non-Black people taking all of the resources and there not being anything left for her community. When things are being offered to everyone, typically Black people receive very little if not any of the resources. Most White people don’t understand this situation and they are quick to holler reverse discrimination. When the farmers received aid, many of the Black farmers were purposely kept from receiving farm-aid. When President Biden offered aid specifically for Black farmers, the White farmers, who received aid before, became greedy and hollered reverse discrimination and sued. There needs to be a balance or equity created in some way. I don’t know the answer.

Ya know, I don't have much, I have a home that I pay a monthly mortgage payment on, my car is 20 years old and is in constant need of repairs, I'm disabled with numerous health problems while trying to care for my 83 y/o mom with Dementia, but the one thing I know for a fact I do have is a heart and compassion. I belong to a neighborhood group made of different races, there are so many times people asking for food to hold them over till next pay day,we all give and ask to reach out again no matter what color, age or gender, this is what we do to help each other out in these hard times no matter who,I'm just glad we don't have selfish people in our community like this young lady is.

They have a food pantry in the next small town 10 miles up the road here, in SE AZ near the border. We applied a few years ago, were accepted. Some of the older than ourselves (we are in our mid-60s early 70s) volunteers at the place acted like we "should not have been there". The thing is we both being of euro-descent, were never able to get into a multi-bazillionaire retirement planning 401 k scenario -- when we worked decades ago. So social insecurity does not cover the food! It's been a while since we have been there and I am not optimistic on what they offered back when we did go once a month was their limit as to how often one could go there. Breads were stale (we ended up not getting any). no choice of milk except 2% -- (yuck) and foods were all highly processed or tinned. No fresh vegetables or fruit. We generally chose very little there, as a result. I feel bad for anyone in such a food bank situation today. It's not fun. I don't have any issues with people saying only for this group or that group (especially if the operation depended on funding from one population vs. another). But to deny wholesale groups of people on a personal 'whim', that cannot fly right for anyone.
