You're right, there's a lack of customer reviews for this product. I was looking at buying it last summer but couldn't find any reviews online or on KZbin so I held off. I'm glad to see that you're happy with it. Thanks for making this video.

Any feedback now? A couple years later? Have a 12x24 i want to heat electrically. I'm ok with the cooler water temps, but the littles struggle. Plus, would love to extend the season on both ends! 😊

good review, you are indeed the first and only of this product. I didnt even realize there were 110 heat pumps. I went to the manufacturer's website and this seems like the only product they sell and are very vague on the data on it. It's nice to see it has titanium heat exchanger. However the key data is the BTU. From checking those who carry this, it's only a 40,000 BTU heater and that is up to 40K meaning only if the atmosphere is perfect to achieve full performance. This might work for much smaller pools, but it likely is uneffective on pools that are 7000-8000+ gallons. Or it will work but take a very long time. If someone can manage to make a plug and play 110 heat pump that can push at least 100K btu, that is game changer.

Hey Moi thanks for the comment I agree any pool that’s larger will take longer to heat my pool is about 6000 gallons and I opened my pool in mid of April to see what I was working with and took a full two days to get to 80 Iam in New England area so I was surprised that it was able to get to 80. temp was about 40 to 50 around that time in April so far so good.

My pool is 16x24 10,000 gallons. I’m not looking to get pool 82-85 at least throughout summer. Im in Ohio so it can be chilly. I really want to avoid running a gas line or running 220 so was hoping for something like this. Or is it not strong enough for my pool

Okay, Dr. Doom, I bought this heat pump based on your review. Do you have a video, or could you do one, on the actual installation.

I'm convinced! I want a 110v unit so I don't have to dig up my yard again. 30foot round pool we will see if this thing will get it up in the 80's
@DRDOOM-gi2sn Жыл бұрын
Go for it 😂 30 foot will be a challenge
@christopherviens7815 Жыл бұрын
Did you get it for the 30ft round? Any results? We have a 24ft round (12.5k gallons) and am thinking of getting it ?

@@christopherviens7815 I didn't get this unit but I got a similar unit, the other popular 110 heater! Does it heat my pool kinda, did it make a huge difference yes. Electric bill was 70 bucks more that's running it non stop. Top temperature was 90 degrees but on average it stays around 85. The key for me always keep the solar cover on and some sun. We dipped into the 70s the pool stayed around 76 within 24 hours with 80 day Temps its back up to 87 today. I think it's worth the money but like I stated before that solar cover has to be on when not using the pool. I'm located in the south it's usually 95 now but it's 70s and I'm the only person actually swimming in my neighborhood so far because of this heater.

Si a little hack if your not liking the increase on the bill try a small gas generator saves a little more money
@milleniumann28 Жыл бұрын
@@christopherviens7815 quick update I hit 92 today it's been consistent 89 to 90 had to turn it off for the first time. Air Temperature still isn't normal maybe 86 85 it's normally mid 90's by now. What I noticed within 2 hours of turning the heater off without the solar cover my pool temp dropped 2 degrees. So at 92 I uncovered turned heater off did a 2 hour swim looked at temp it dropped to 89. I can't complain at all I went in praying for 80-82 degrees and got 90's this pool never has been this warm!

Thanks for the review ! now I know I don't want it .... too noisy and I can buy a whole lot of natural gas for the $3000 cost! And I bet that thing doesn't last more than 5-7 years. My 125k gas heater is 19 yrs old and still running strong with only one $200 repair (a thermostat control) . I believe for a small pool it might be fine? And you are correct KEEP that solar cover on when not in use!!!!

I purchased this heat pump in July. So easy to hook up and it has extended my season a few weeks this fall. Looking forward to opening the pool a few weeks earlier in the spring. I'm in central New York and getting ready to close my pool for the season. I know I have to blow out the lines with a shop vac ... Any other tips on closing for the season? Do you cover yours?
@DRDOOM-gi2sn2 жыл бұрын
Hi Denise yes I would cover it snug and wrap the cord with a zip tie or rope so that no damage happens to the plug also it’s good to cover to protect the control board
@UMmyers Жыл бұрын
Hey my pool is about 8000 gallons looking into this heat pump. Can you tell me how it’s worked for you so far as when you’ve opened and closed your pool? Also does it come with the lines to hook it up. Thanks for any info.
@DRDOOM-gi2sn Жыл бұрын
Worked out great when I opened and closed my pool I will post a video when I close to show how I did it. No unfortunately it does not come with lines any pool store should be able to help out very common size hose

Don't know if this will help us or not, but here is what we are dealing with our new White Knight heat pump. We purchased and professionally installed a new 24 ft round above ground pool. We decided to purchase a pool heater and decided on the electric White Knight heat pump. We had it installed by the local pool company we have worked with for the last 35 years. We discussed closing the heater down with the pool people and decided it was easy enough for us to do. We followed the instructions in the manual. We noticed a leak at start up this year and called for warranty service and were informed the cracked PVC piping was the cause due to freezing and would not be covered. WE ARE SICK TO OUR STOMACHS that this company will not even discuss the possibility that the cracked pipes were due to improper installation or inferior products used during manufacturing. We had an above ground pool for over 30 years that we took care of with little or no problems besides replacing worn out parts. Any ideas of what we can do or what might have happened??? We are OUT over $3,000 for not even a year of service from this pump. We live in Wisconsin.

Hello J kett. Sorry to hear that your having problems and I appreciate the heads up about customer service. I also have a 24ft round, and will likely avoid this brand since they aren't standing by their product, but could you advice whether the 110v heat pump this size heated your pool well, while it was working ?
@DRDOOM-gi2sn Жыл бұрын
Hi there sorry to here that I haven’t had to deal with there customer service yet but usually when I close out I vacuum out any water from the two water feed outlets also put a cover over the unit itself

Is the pool heater on a timer or schedule with your pump?

Thanks for the review, I have had my eye on this for a couple of years when they were first introduced. My pool is 10,000 gallons so hesitant but if you started up in April and got to 80 thats pretty good, I am also in New England (MA) and looking to extend the season on both ends without doing natural gas or propane. Did you buy locally or online with delivery?

This is great information. I can't find anything about this heater anywhere. I have an error code reading ES0, evaporator temperature sensor. Do you happen to know how to access the electrical panel after taking the front plastic off? They say that resetting it should help, but I don't know how to get to where the wires are.
@DRDOOM-gi2sn2 жыл бұрын
Hi Janet unfortunately I do not. I haven’t ran into that error code yet there is a service number on the unit they might be able to help if that doesn’t I look into myself and see what I can find

Thinking about this heater. We have a 21' pool, live in NC. We use a solar cover and are wanting to extend our swimming season as long as possible. Do you leave it in place over the winter, or will you store it? Also, what are the outside dimensions of the unit? I can't seem to find that online. Thanks for the review!

Hi kmhrsn I leave it in place for the winter clean out hose and cover I have another video showing how I do it

I'm considering this heater. I also have a smaller pool (15' round). Did you save any ongoing monthly $$ by switching to this unit vs. propane?

Hello Denise definitely yes this unit did very good on saving money I ran usually at night only noticed a 5 dollar increase in my bill
