Lovely video mate. I spent 14 months in Drummore, so I wasn't far from Galloway Forest really. I did a long weekend 3 years ago with an astronomy friend of mine. I must go back one day. Take care pal.

The stone is one of the 7 Stanes called the Great Axehead . It's an old Irish poem in runes: I am the wind which breathes upon the sea, I am the wave of the ocean, I am the murmur of the billows, I am the ox of the seven combats, I am the vulture upon the rocks, I am a beam of the sun, I am the fairest of plants, I am a wild boar in valor, I am a salmon in the water, I am a lake in the plain, I am a word of science, I am the point of the lance of battle, I am the God who created in the head the fire. Who is it who throws light into the meeting on the mountain? Who announces the ages of the moon? Who teaches the place where couches the sun? (If not I)

Cracking video to watch, spot on very informative...looking forward to heading up there next week myself.. Nice easy route underfoot by looks of it. You should have a go on the bike to the bothy next time.. good incentive lol.im a keen road biker myself but reckon a cross bike would get me there...but it does look like a great walk.

That climb was prob around 6-700 feet on that route.I used strava for my walk there on the 11th.The main climb would be knackering on a bike so you did really well to get up from the bottom by the forest...Loved the hiding place as well for the bike. Good improvisation. Keep up the cooking btw..you have introduced me back to spam fritters lol 😂

An enjoyable stroll through some lovely country, iff you pushed ya bike up you could have free wheeled back down lol, as for fools moaning about your channel content mate, sod em, you do what you do and share it through YT and we enjoy watching mate, keep it up because you have a great personality and good humour, cheers Stu, atb mate. P.S. Glenn Trool is where Robert the Bruce and his small army used as a base and had his first victory against us English swine in 1307, the battle was on the " Steeps of Mulldonach ", little history lesson for you there mate lol.

Looks like a good spot to escape to with me crew for a wicked weekend of drinking and smokin' and if we're rowdy enough we should have it all to ourselves. On top of that, it looks like someone is paid to keep it clean and tidy so we can leave all our shit behind for someone else to clean up - Can't wait for the Spring bank Holiday.

You need rest up from all that throat gravelling 'CCccchhhhhhhhh' business. You'll be damaging something you need. As for people not liking the content of your channel. It's your channel, you do what you enjoy and want to do. If people don't fancy what you're out and about at , they can always just move on to the next vid... May well be wrong , but I think the carving in the stone may have been in one of the alphabets of the futhark runes. Think you might have filmed it wrong way up... The runes that is , not you .
