I used my binaural microphone rig to collect the sound and Adobe Premiere to edit the audio and video together. Rain on tin roof white noise and other similar rain sounds are great for masking unwanted external sounds, making them the perfect ally for study, sleep, stress relief and meditation.

Do you think its in our genetic code that we enjoy so much the sound of rain?, i mean , our specie had to deal with dry seasson and famine for thousands of years, and rain always means "hope" for those (like me) that live in semi dessert or dessert areas that the rain cools us down, clean the air... i can still remember my grand dad, a sour silent men, walking slowly in a sleeve less shirt, following the smell of wet ground and mildy smiling at the rain from his rocking chair.

well sometimes rain doesnt always bring hope but instead it brings calamity...fear...... for us people living in a tropical country.. heavy rain would sure mean an instant flash floods... many have died because of it (T_T)

I have followed your channel for a while and I'm impressed about the quality of the recording, so I would like to ask you something. At night I can easily fall asleep in my friend's car while they give me a ride to home so... it would be awesome if you can place the recorder on the passenger sit and drive a few miles on a highway, possibly at night. If you do that with your amazing recording device, it'll be like being there and I would sleep so well everywhere!

But we do have a normal transit train that goes to the coast express which I could probably get a recording of inside the front carriage! Not as nice as a steam train but it's something! ;P Definitely vacuum cleaner and running water I can get but not sure what the folks will think about the electricity and water bill! Haha!

The God Send I'd love for them to be but unfortunately my internet simply doesn't let me! Australia is known for it's slow internet speeds. Unless you're lucky to live in an area that has the super-fast national broadband network (not many do), you suffer. Currently my 2 hour videos take 8 - 10 hours to upload. It's an all-nighter kind of job. But in the near future I hope to save up, move out and live somewhere that has NBN. Just as a follow up question though, do you find when it's two hours long that you wake up when it finishes? Is that why you want them longer? Just curious.. :P

I connect the it my TV then cover the television with a little dark blanket and I also put my fan on. with a longer video I don't have to wake up often to replay that why the longer are for. But this, it has the perfect natural rain sound but its not long.
