These are a great looking alternative to red oak jo staff for all Aikido practitioners and many traditional Jiu Jitsu and Ninjutsu practitioners too. They are made in a hard wood white oak and take the level of training inflicted upon them. These are a really tough weapon and will stand up to some abuse, but don’t forget it is wood. Wood can break so a real thumping could end up with a broken stick. Look after your staff and it will last you for years.

Please, I'm using a broken broom handle for aikido🤣 I really want to get this buy next week and white oak is technically slightly stronger(not really a difference after a bit of use) but I also like the color more, hope you can get them in store soon. Great video

All I can think of is how Star Wars was influenced by martial arts. Is there a character whose lightsaber fighting style is similar to the people fighting in this video?

Hi Colby, I'm not massively clued up on the fighting from Star Wars but Jo style training tends to not be that flashy so probably wouldn't look great in a movie so am guessing not. Someone else will know way better than me though

Most of the star wars characters do this kind of fighting, it's basic blocks and strikes. Darth maul with his double ended sabre is your best bet for Jo or bo staff. Most light sabre Is more like bokken techniques cuz they're essentially swords.
