For goodness sake, DO NOT push the wood across the jointer head with your hands flat on the board! If it gets kicked back, your hand goes into the blades before you even know what happened. Push it but keep your hands either side of the head as you push.

I'm sure manufacturing hierarchy of domino tools love them far more than anyone else...$2000AU for a tool that can only do one thing...and replaces dowels, that can be made and inserted for less than $100...dowels, that continue to be extremely effective in securing two pieces of wood. It continues to amaze me at how efective marketing is on some folks.

Thank you for your feedback! I understand your point about making projects more beginner-friendly. While I sometimes use advanced tools for efficiency, many of the techniques in my videos can be done with more basic tools as well. I’ll keep this in mind and try to make future videos easier to follow for beginners. I truly appreciate your perspective and hope you continue to enjoy the content!

@@saiiiiiii1 I think there is a risk the top may split. Those metal “8” clips should be more free to allow that the top will expand and contract across wise more than the frame.
@glockgrouptherapy
@glockgrouptherapy 4 ай бұрын
I would argue both sides of this argument. I think the side aprons clips should have been installed at 45° to allow them to "swing" with the movement. On thr other hand, if you look closely the screws are smaller then the clips opening which would allow for a good deal of movement.
