I'm a white male with physical limitations, so finding a job is already hard enough, now people are trying to lessen my chances of being able to get a job, to be able to thrive, just because of my race and gender? And the fact that I'm not the only one. I'm 18 years old, why the f should I be paying for something I had no part in that happened long before I was even born? Why should anyone? Also the assumption that someone is privileged because of their gender or race is stupid and it invalidates the struggles that they went through. I faced serious trauma in my childhood that's still impacting me to this day. I also get no respect from anyone, I'm not physically big or strong, I'm 4'7" and around 70 lbs so people treat me like a little kid, pretty much blow me off, and take nothing I say seriously. I also have severe type A hemophilia and I'm living in the US where healthcare isn't free so how is that being privileged and not being deserving of a job? I fully understand there are jobs I'm not built for, I wouldn't hire me for those reasons, I want to find who the best fit for the job is, because first and foremost it is about the company, and you don't want to hire someone who might be a liability on said company, so if I can't do the tasks demanded of me then it's perfectly reasonable for them to not hire me. However if there is a job that I can do, and do it better than everyone else who interviewed me, then denying me based on my gender and race isn't just a morally wrong choice, but a stupid one as well.

One of my best friends and her husband are really into LARPing, so much so they had a Renaissance wedding, and every time I go to visit, I’m usually included in on one of their events. So last time I decided to surprise them, bought a gorgeous dress and wore my hair in Viking braid style. Prior to going, I asked a coworker (black) who always has gorgeous hair/s if her stylist did Viking braids. She checked and her hair stylist said yes! So I went a few times so we could play around with different styles with my hair (very long, thick in back, but thinner up front). Each time I went I was the only white woman there, and though a few of the women getting their hair done gave me the side eye, no one ever said anything negative. Once they realized what I was doing, a lot of women would give ideas and offered advice on hair care while keeping the braids in. I really liked my braids I ended up getting for my trip up (I drove the 15 hrs), and each time I stopped to get gas or eat, the amount of love I got for my braids leads me to want to get it done more often here at home. The only reason I haven’t is because I’m a medical worker who has to wear a scrub cap, and it would jostle my fine hair out of the braid 😢 wasted money

Those upset were labeling it “cultural appropriation”. There was an African American responding to this by saying, “Culture is meant to be shared, not gate kept.” Edit: I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but apparently an African American owned salon heard about it and wanted to give the little girl box braids. 6:13 genuine question for anyone here who would know the answer: Why do they still refer to abortion as “women’s” rights, when they believe that men can get pregnant and thus have abortions? Using this logic, wouldn’t abortion be men’s right too?
@katrinathompson79842 ай бұрын
Why are they so proud to broadcast they've had abortions? In this day and time with so many birth control options available, an abortion should be fairly avoidable. They seem to look at it as a form of birth control instead of something used in emergencies.
@E_Reich2 ай бұрын
@@katrinathompson7984 While I may not agree with the decision, I can still understand why someone would choose to get an abortion. What I don’t understand is how they can possibly celebrate it like it’s not still a tragedy. Why is a miscarriage sad, but an abortion is happy? I recall an attempted cancellation of a random boyfriend at planned parenthood because he was crying and thus making his gf feel bad. Why is he not allowed to be sad? If anything, his reaction was normal. The woman filming him was psychopathic.

The earliest known use of the greeting "good morning" was in the Middle English period, around 1450, in Sege Melayne. The phrase was formed within English by compounding the words "good" and "morning." The word "morning" itself originated in Middle English as "morwening", which evolved into "morwen", then "morwe", and eventually "morrow".
