Hello again George and thank you for your kind words. There are many ways of creating an anchor for kites. I can tell you how we mostly do ours but I am not recommending that anyone try it or that it is 100% safe to do it this way - it's just how we do it. On a beach we have very large bags that we fill with sand and bury back in to hole we made filling it. On a grassy area we use 60cm long x 30mm metal stakes that are driven almost right in to the ground with a heavy hammer. All care is taken and tests carried out to make sure that they are secure. We would find other means if they conditions were not suitable - say if the ground were soggy. I know other flyers use other methods, including linking stakes together for added precaution. I always worry when I see flyers not driving their stakes right down - if they are not at the very least with 75% in the ground then the pull of the kite will have the advantage of leverage to dislodge the anchor. @@308Karl I would not recommend buying from most of the Chinese suppliers these days. In my experience they are generally full of false promises combined with terrible after sales service. Many times I find they can speak perfect English right up until they have your money and then they can't! - Until, of course, if you want to buy from them again.

For the size of the kite the pull is not as strong as we expected. There is also a brake line attachment as an additional safety measure. They are great kites. The dilemma is that if you order from Kaixuan they will charge you a big fee to ship the kite on top of anm already inflated price. Mr Snow (YongJian and iKite Store) is cheaper and doesn't charge for shipping but I have not found him to be reliable. I ordered two kites last October and they have still not . he has made me false promises of other kites fre and tells contradicting stories of what has happened to the deliveries. Thankfully, I ordered through Ali Express and am now getting a refund. I will not use either of these companies again.

@Allan Pothecary thank you for the needed information. I realized when buying this kite I won't be flying by hand. With large steel stakes to anchor the 20m I want to video its awesome flying in everyway I can. I have 500# line and hope that is adquect. Perhaps I will try 10mph next time out. Now here's another question...how much line should one let out before tethering to get a descent height? Again, this is the largest kite in my collection so I am a little concerned with the proper setup for a stressless flight. New experience for me with the ' big boy's! But ill get it with a little coaching. Thanks~

Yes - It was the first colour I saw , better than the other three colours to my taste (influenced by the wife 😂) Can't remember the Canadian guy's name who was flying it on video. It should be noted that one young lady (Mona, or something like that) will sell you this kite at a higher price AND STILL!!! charge you for shipping whilst other companies are better on price with NO shipping charge - longer wait to get your product though.

But after letting it fly a few, my tentacles no longer filled with air. My question would be: are the two outer lift chambers of your oki open to the tentacles or do they ventilate the tentacles ??? In your video I think I see that they ventilate the tentacles ...

@@Kupper-Kites I am not surprised in any drop off in enthusiasm from Kaixuan once they have your money. I was disgusted in their poor after sales service on more than one occasion. I used to like that company but I would never recommend them to anyone. People tend to think that the attention they get before spending their money and the usual, fairly quick delivery is good service but that's because they don't know that they could have paid well over the odds and were probably ripped off with inflated shipping charges too! Sorry - I digress - but they also ripped me off over designs and at least one other person I know but I won't rabbit on about that! I would say that yes, the tentacles are inflated via the body. You say "Yellow and Black"? I don't see that in the current range - was that possibly a prototype design? Does yours have a Zipper as my video shows? Was it closed when you had the problem? I would like to see a video or a least a photo of your kite. Thanks we were not disappointed when it eventually arrived seven weeks after ordering. I don't buy from Monica and her cohorts at Kaixuan any more because they may be quicker to deliver but they are always more expensive and charge a lot extra for shipping whereas others are cheaper and free shipping (although it takes longer and communication is almost impossible) - therefore ALWAYS order via Ali Express where your money is kept for two weeks after you confirm delivery and that gives you time to complain if something is wrong. I also was appalled by the the after sales service at Kaixuan when I had a problem three months down the line after purchase.

I have noticed that exact same thing. Personally, I ordered 2 things from Monica and have not had any issues, but yes, the prices do seem higher. I ordered a 5m seahorse over a month ago, not from Kaixuan. Will see how long it takes to arrive.

The Octopus was advertised at $350 from Monica at Kaixuan plus a further $111.87 for shipping and I paid a total of $244.04 including shipping after Ali Express discounts but communication with the company is really bad and delivery at least seven weeks despite any promise you may get.
