Classic sign of all of us boot addicts. MP was my grail and then I got them and my eyes kept wondering. After getting my viberg col. 4 shell ive decided to take a break from buying and appreciate what I've got :)

Viberg Color 4 though... very impressive 👌 I would love to have those.. they probably offer the best cordovan, I imagine the clickings on point.. thick shell n all

@toneohm ooof I definately wanted those shinki lofgrens but the last isn't as good for me. I got the Ludlow boot in shinki tho. And yea you would hope that vibergs were good for the price. It was eye watering and the final grail boot XD (for now)

I have the Cinnamon Waxed MP 5050 on the Dainite. Arrived in January, ordered last june. My foot is loving the arch support. I'm a 10D brannock and Bakers suggested 9.5E on 5050. I'm a 9.5D on my Alden 405 and bought 10D for Truman 79 last in Java Waxed flesh. I wouldn't mind having an extra pair of Mp's in Distressed Roughout.

I just got another pair of MPs.. CF Stead.. Stone Rambler 8E.. I was gonna get another 5050 in cinnamon actually.. but went all out on another Division Road collab.. but damn.. you waited from June to January?? Feels like quite a while for regular stitchdowns

@@toneohm Yeah, about one year ago now for the last June sale. It arrived like a day after new years. I tried my best to be patient since I don't want a big collection and mainly want stuff to grow old with me. I would like the British Tan Roughout Wesco engineer from Ship John but a year plus wait is too much for me. Comfort wise, I will say the 5050 and my Alden 405 are my most comfortable, with the Truman in third, but wish they had more arch support.

Beautiful boots. The stitchdown looks fantastic, kind of cleaner, IMO. I have a couple of Maps and a pair of Cruiser, and in all of them I went a half size down and they fit me well. The 55 Last feels much more comfy than the MP last, but overall, the sizing strategy worked for me.

I have 9.5D regular MP Sherman’s which fit me roomy in length If I go CMP, should I go 9D ?

@ MP last is a modified Barrie last, which is kind of almond toe-ish; so I think you’re supposed to have some space at the front. It’s always better to have space at the front than less. I wouldn’t go down; or even better, try them and if it doesn’t work, return them 🙌

Mine squeak like there is no tomorrow. It’s at the insole right on the ball of the foot. Just after a few miles of wear the glue startled to separate. Sad, but man are they comfortable. Just can’t wear them any where that has a hard wood floor or somewhere I don’t want to be noticed. Sounds like two ducks are following me.

When you have a boot with a rubber half sole like that the bootmaker puts in a very thick midsole (like what i got in my Nicks) or a leather mid sole and a leather out sole like yours. Even though yours has more componets it could cost less due to thick leather costing alot. And you got finished smooth leather on top of the heel towards the stichdown and in the waist, between the rubber and heel. I on the other hand, need to figure out how to wax the exposed rough side of the mid sole for more protection.

Yeah my Mr. Lou engineers have that exposed mid-sole.. I like that White's does double midsole half soles

it's the same arch.. but it's a more narrow and long shape.. i like it more than the 55 i think

Do you mean taller?? Or wider.. it's taller.. But it's no wider I don't think.. definitely all round slimmer than my 55 last Cutters.. but yeah, it is taller because this has alot more arch support than the regular MPs.. and to get that, the heel needs to be higher.. which is good.. cause it gives you more tread..

I just got a pair of these based on your review. I got them in the 5050 last. You stated that these boots are long and would have prefer a 8 in E width but whites only offer D and EE. I think I need to update my order but Im cornered on the EE width being too wide. What do you think?

@Pujabie yes indeed,, kinda says it in the title ; ) they only offer the CMP that way stock.. The Sherman is a two piece counter. The M1 is one piece. I have a review with an MP-M1 coming up soon.. where I talk more about the counter covers and backstay areas..
