I unsubbed from him when he made a snakeoil video trash talking Soundtoys Decapitator plugin. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about and he was smug about it. He got backlash and he deleted that video.

I think he's genuine in his apology. He also took down the video and refunded the money so there's not much else we can ask from him. I even made a comment about how the producer community is being overran by shill content creators but deleted it because I honestly feel bad and worried for a guy like this. He's already made several videos about his mental health. He's just a music guy just like us. He's not perfect and its ok to make mistakes when you own up to it like he did. I don't think he's the problem. The issue lies with content creators whose sole focus is making money. While I fully support content creators, especially musicians, earning a living, it shouldn't come at the expense of sacrificing all integrity. I think his channel is big enough that he could partner with companies he believes in and give honest reviews.

Only issue I had was with the 4 chan interface which was actually only 2. And he tried to recommend it as being suitable for people starting out. He put himself in that shitty position of trying to sell and trying to be critical. But truth is, If that interface was focusrite he would've been slating it. There's cheap gear, and there's false advertising. We shouldn't overlook the false element just cause it's cheap or you're an influencer being sponsored.
