To be fair the video is most likely aimed at intermediates or people who just started out. Most of the tips are totally fine, you may have heard of them but its still inspiring to refresh your memory on some things.

The mono tip is almost a good tip but it's backwards, 4 bars leading up to the drop slowly go to mono, then when the drop hits smash back open to full stereo. Gives it so much oompf, also maybe a dB or 2 of the whole mixes gain at the same time

@@StatetrooperBillyBlast I don't know if you're serious, but did you know that software development isn't free? I thought I'd let you know that I've been developing a software for 9 months, already investing tens of thousands of dollars in it (it could have been a lot more). If I don't get paid, it's not going to go well for me, and I'm sure it's not going well for other devs either.

the right plugins will make you sound better. sometimes it can take music into a totally new direction you never thought of. i wrote an acoustic part based off a NIN right where it belongs and the last part of something i can never have....very quiet and sad sounding progression but after i got into ableton and played with guitar rig it turned into something amazing it even made aspects of the part sound like additional things that i did not write some kind of lead guitar and it had a deftones change sound actually

Unison is not a very common in hardware. Detuning oscillators slightly is a great tip. Anyone with a hardware synth without unison knows this. Adjusting the frequency on one of the oscillators of the Moog Matriarch while playing is insanely powerful.
