It's important for teachers to be able to relate to students. I'm 64yo and I remember my grade school teachers who cared and related to the students.
@bradtaylor47653 ай бұрын
I;m also 64 and I have no such memories. It was high school before I got my first teacher that cared. She knew I sucked at Algebra 2 and I was failing miserably and she told me to come after school and she taught me personally to do the work. I brought my grade up to a high B and all because of her. I would imagine she's gone now, but she meant the world to me.

You remembered the ones that placated your childhood & didn't teach you how to exist. Teachers dont teach. Kids teach. Teachers just take the paycheck from the real teachers in the classrooms.
@tswej3 ай бұрын
@@OGDailylama I sorry you never had a Teacher to care but that's not the norm. I had personal relationships with 2 grade school teachers and their families. One teacher, Mrs Elliott's husband coach our little league baseball team and they paid the fees for every kid who's parents couldn't afford to pay. Mrs Kidd and Mr Brown were also great Teachers who often went above and beyond their duties to help kids and parents. In Middle and High School their are 3 Teachers I have fond memories of but the men who had the biggest impact was Mr Best and Mr Gibson. Today in atleast in Texas Teachers have to teach the things the Governor approves much of which may not be accurate. Back then our teacher taught in a way that was truthful and kept the kids engaged. Case in point my History Teacher was from Oklahoma and that's where I learned about Black Wallstreet. I had visited relatives in Tulsa yearly and was surprised none of my cousins knew about this until I told them.
@OGDailylama3 ай бұрын
@@tswej I am an old & erudite man. I can tell you bad teachers are the norm and not the exception. You just dont realize just how bad they are becuase they are ecactly THAT ATROCIOUSLY BAD AT THEIR JOBS. They all have hidden political agendas that is not what the student wants or needs.
@OGDailylama3 ай бұрын
@@tswej You remember those teachers because all the others were absolutely horrible at their jobs. You don’t remember the ones that were good because they were good. You remember them because all the other teachers were so bad they appear to have been good at their jobs. The fact remains, teachers go into teaching for two reasons. 1. They are lazy 2. They never figured how to control their own lives so they feel they need to control children's lives.
