White Uber Driver Kicks Out Racist Karen. Then This Happens

One of Daniel's several side hustles is driving for a rideshare app. While in Mango Park, he decides to pick up a passenger despite her extremely low rating. Immediately, Daniel realizes this was a big mistake. As soon as the woman, Melissa, enters the car she starts spouting off racist rhetoric, which bothers Daniel immensely. He calmly informs Melissa that because of her behavior, he will be cancelling her ride. This makes Melissa irate and she proceeds to insult Daniel, but despite her horrible attitude, Daniel is determined not to let her ruin his day.

If it wasn't for racist reasons, I can understand not wanting to get into a stranger's car. I have hearing problems from an inner ear disorder. The first guy, between not being able to understand him and the smell, I probably would have refused as well. I've had vertigo attacks triggered by smell. And sometimes, as a woman, you can feel unsafe around certain people. But to refuse a ride based on color or an accent alone, that's wrong.

No consent is required if you record someone in your property. Riing doorbell is an example. A car is someone premises and by entering the car you agree to the policy so the law doesn't apply. A bit of a request: could you please consider doing "Uber driver won't help blind passenger, what happens next is shocking"? I am blind, and I often have to ask Uber or taxi drivers to come inside the lobby of a public building and assist me to their vehicles. Sometimes they refuse and just leave. I don't have a guide dog, but those of us who do also have a hard time getting the transportation we need. Same goes for wheelchairs, even when they fit perfectly in the car. Perhaps you could have the driver refuse to help the disabled passenger and drive off, then have him/ her get into an accident and be told by a doctor that there's a high chance they'll have the same disability for the rest of their life (but of course they end up recovering just in time to realize how wrong they were). Please give this serious consideration; this is a very relatable problem for people in the disability community.
