All English is broken English. Even the people who are from England the country from which the language originates from don't speak proper English anymore. When I was a counselor at juvenile hall the kids had some free time to organize a football game. The teams broke up into blacks vs Chicanos. The blacks went into a huddle and started arguing about who would be QB, end or whatever position. After they finally organized they were stopped after a few plays and the Chicanos huddled up. @@alexanderekubo538 The book Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome helped me understand several parts of the disfunction within my family and community. We’re a traumatized people and as much as we hate when people tells us to “get over it” (trans atlantic slave trade, chattel slavery, 13th amendment, jim crow, new jim crow, etc) that’s exactly what we try to do instead of discussing it and acknowledging it. My parents & grandparents, whether they know it or not, passed down traits of their traumatic experiences to us and if not caught, we’ll pass it to our lineage. We yell reparations but we’ll do just as the infamous Chappelle skit if we don’t “first” heal internally and a family/community. Just my thoughts. I hope @oracle_3345 gives you theirs.
