Turned a D,j on to this in Salt lake city, Boy did he flip !! He traded me a Jimmy Hendricks and Bob Dylan jamming together at Dylan's house. Is incredible !! Rock and roll is gone now. Real rock and roll I mean.. the 70s was great ! Got WW album in 75. The lyrics are awesome ! The music INCREDIBLE !!! We'll all ride.high in the saddle everyone!.

HI my friend and thanks for the view and nice comment. So great to hear of a fellow fan who knows of and appreciates how great this band was. Those first 2 albums still hold up today as well as they did almost 50 years ago. I was fortunate enough to see these guys many times playing here locally in my town back in the day. They were just way ahead of their time plus Capricorn records from what I've heard and read just didn't know what to do with them. It's a damn shame they didn't make it bigger than they did. Thanks again..

Thanks for this one Gary. What a great band most people never heard of. They were so much fun to see in person.

Thanks for the view and great comment! Yes these guys were so far ahead of their time it's a shame. Both of those first 2 albums were so good and still hold up well today. I understand about trying to get someone who has never heard of them to listen to these guys these days.

That is a good scale workout from a long forgotten band from my past. The 335 was a good choice, sounds good..good job, I liked their spiritual greeting album..it was a bit ahead of its time and many didn't get it.

Hi my friend and sorry for my delayed reply. Yes they were such a great band and those first two albums are so greata and still hold up well today. A Spiritual Greeting was such a strong follow up to the first album. I was lucky enough to see them several times back in the day as they used to come through my town quite often playing the clubs.

Thanks. Nice job. Great to see someone do some White Witch music on here. Great band. I have both their albums in my playlist regularly. I bought those albums new, way back when. I would love to see you do a guitar cover/lesson of We'll All Ride High and Class of 2000.

Hi and sorry for the late reply. These guys were such a great band and like you I still listen both of their albums which still hold up today as good as 45 years ago. Both of the songs you mentioned I would love to do and hopefully can work on one of them soon. take care...

Capricorns WEIRDEST BAND...lol i always post these guys on 'Southern Rock "FB groups, and nobody seems to get it.... the singer was great in the 70's... now his squealing bugs me a little, but the BAND is SO STRONG musically i still love em.. ..the Hammond Organ on 'Class of 2000" just KILLS me to this day..... and this was always my favorite tune....nice job....thanks for going to the trouble. the writing here- simple rhythm , but the parts just lead into one another, and thats a beautiful thing. this is how you write a hard rock song.

Hi friend and thanks for the view and great comment. I've always thought being on Capricorn actually hurt these guys more than helped them. I don't think they really knew exactly what to do with them musically being so different from all the other bands on their label. But you are absolutely correct about them being just killer musicians. I guess they were just too far ahead of their time. Someone asked me they other day to try "Class Of 2000" or "We'll All Ride High In The Saddle Again" which I may start on here shortly or anything from the first album also. Thanks Again...

I'm Facebook friends with George F. Brawley who became the guitarist after original guitarist Charles "Buddy" Richardson quit. I saw the original line-up a couple times when they were still the Tropics when they announced they were getting ready to record an album and changing their name to White Witch. Then I saw them open for Grand Funk once, for Guess Who once, Sly Stone & Family Band /Dr. John once. George says he remembers Sly being late and they had to perform longer that night.

Thanks for your view and interesting comment. I was lucky enough to see them many times with the original band back in the 70's. The whole band was killer ,especially Buddy Richardson. I don't believe I ever saw them anymore after he left.

ONE OF MEE'S FAV. BANDS, BUT,OUT OF THE WILD BLUE MY AUTISTIC GRANDSON, HEARING IT, JUST ONCE PULLS IT OUT CONSISTENTLY. You did a pretty good job, me I'ma drummer, Ludwig's & Roland but I acquired a geetar, El KaBong Ibanez, old one F series, gonna run it. Stinkin Floyd and his Roses, besides I wish I could have seen them. Heard they played Fla. a lot also did opening for Alice Cooper too. Most are dead I think. thxs much.

Hi my friend and thanks for the view and nice comment. You are correct as to them opening for Alice Cooper as I was fortunate enough to see those 2 together here in my town back in the 70's. Yes they were such a great band but wound up on the wrong label. Those first 2 albums still hold up well today as they did back then but yet hardly anyone knows who they are. Love hearing your Grandson loves them as well!!

Hi my friend and thanks for the view and great comment. I have actually been working on another WW song from the first album but with everything going on here lately have kind of put the video thing on the back burner for a little while. Hope to get back to working on some new things here very soon. Glad to meet a fellow WW fan!! They were such a great band and was fortunate to have seen them several times back in the 70's. Wow hard to believe it's been that long but glad to still be here.

@@jbl5050 You saw them??? My god. They never came to NYC. I heard that they played a show in Phily at the Spectrum. I wish I knew that. Would have seen them in a heartbeat. Many times I have went to a show just for the opener. UFO, Mark Farner, are a couple I remember. Oh The Sweet in Conn. Foghat were the headliner but I had hung with the Sweet 3 times previous and tried to get back stage, no luck that night. The first White Witch album is amount my desert Island discs. I am 64 and have heard it about 200 times but it doesn't matter. I still go into a dream with Sleepwalk. Nothing less than magic. Only album that compares is the first Captain Beyond!
