How to use LastPass (Complete Tutorial)

Here is a tutorial on how to use LastPass "password management service" in 2019. We will download and install LastPass for Firefox but this tutorial will work for Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Opera. We will go through all the options to show you how to use it and make your life easier.

I agree w/another comment. You have done very well in showing what actually happens when going through the screens. Most vids just generalize. You have the first vid that makes sense because you go through the steps and explain what all the choices showing on the screen do.

I have 200 saved passwords on my device. tutorials give instructions to go to advanced setting and choose 'import', which does not come up as an option for me.... thank you for this your information! Excellent overview of the solution! Do you have a tutorial on the mobile app facet and getting everything to synch up? That’s been a nightmare challenge for me in the past; when you’re on the road, reliant completely on your phone access and the password for a site/app you altered from the PC is not reflected on the phone.

Hi Christy Erdman: To access the same account? They don't allow you to access a single database with two accounts. With the paid version you can share passwords to other accounts though.

OMG ! I'm a train wreck !!! somehow got locked out of LP yesterday and can't get back in since yesterday morning ... LP is sending me sms ( that's not working ) ... I noticed other ppl that ( pay for membership ) REALLY annoyed by the fact they couldn't get in as well ... one person mentioning he / she KNEW FOR A FACT THEY WERE ENTERING THEIR CORRECT PW ... Anyway I seriously thought I was losing my mind ( after almost 2 FULL days I was finally able to access my vault ) UNREAL ! You cautioned not to put in a social security number in LastPass. If all the other data is encrypted, what is the concern with the SS number?

Hi Glenn Lambert Keep your social security number offline is the most secure thing you can do. I just recommend it because I don't trust anything/anyone with that number. It's completely up to you if you want to store it inside LastPass but I will always recommend to store it offline.

@@WhiteArmour - I don't want to belabor this, but maybe I'm not understanding the purpose of LastPass. If you caution not to put in a social security number because of security concerns, then why even use LastPass at all. Keeping my website User IDs and Passwords offline would be the most secure thing to do as well.

@@glennlambert8209 no problem at all. I'm just paranoid when it comes to my social number. Lastpass will do a great job encrypting and protecting it. I do see your point though, I was thinking from the actual use of a social number and I don't think it should ever be used Online.
