I’m 5 months late , but this comment has weight , substantial weight tbh. I am a physics major and when it comes to durability diamonds are one of the hardest substances in the universe. Diamonds were compared to a skull of a T-Rex; meaning a dragon type fruit can counter his ability. Meaning ZOAN devil fruits are the balance to certain logia. Zoans are instinctual whilst logias are elemental in the prospect of its chemical background. Hence why ace died to Akainu….. the compounds are a compromise as to showing Logias are NOT the most powerful powers in this world. It’s been proven by the defeats of ENEL and CROCODILE

He also protected Whitebeards legacy even after his death, watching over the town that Whitebeard created for poor villagers not able to afford their heavenly tribute. He really was the most son-like character to pops which makes him the coolest to me!

5:10 My logic behind Whitebeards appearance here is that he had been fighting for a good amount of time during the war, truly exerting hi body past its limits. Prior to his fight with Blackbeard, he had to face Akainu, who he went all out to defeat, only after receiving an internal magma wound. I'd imagine that Whitebeard steaming and looking all red is due to the strain he's put his body over for the past few hours of nonstop fighting.

This may seem pretty basic but my favorite commander AND character in one piece in general is by far Marco. From his character design to his devil fruit is just so awesome. His devil fruit literally allows him to heal any of his wounds, and others wounds. He can also fly and can either take a half Phoenix form or a full Phoenix form which is so awesome. The color scheme of his fruit is so cool and his character design fits it so perfectly.

Kozuki Oden is the only second division commander I'll ever love. The man damage Kaido, sailed with Roger, and is nothing short of a god tier character from Oda.

The diamond Jozu is my favorite whitebeard commander, I think he has so much potential & his fruit is amazing especially if it got awakened! He did not get a lot of screentime but I really loved his design and fruit

Probably too late for the competition, but my favorite commander has always been Ace. I remember being in elementary going into middle school when he was first shown, and I always invisioned him to be a role model as a older brother. Back then Food Lion use to sell Shonen Jump for like 5.99 usd, and I remember always buying a issue when I could every first Tuesday in the month. The day Ace died had me crying tears for real.

"Entry" my personal favorite is Marco, now I know a lot of people like him but there is something great about that character and his role. From the very first time meeting him he draws our interest with his phoenix human hybrid form. Being one of the only ancient zoan types who has the affect of a logia type. Then later on learning more of his history and seeing his role in the current Manga making us know in full that he is a different different but great character

Great persona and character design. Imagine being on top of the world, being able to literally shake the Earth with your powers and having a fleet so strong that you could take the whole world by storm, and yet, you just want to live a peaceful life and provide for your family and friends. Marco because of his devil fruit. A mythical zoan is cool in general but the fact that he is also in practice a pseudo logia and can heal himself, also the fact that he protected luffy at marineford and came back in wano to help everyone out makes him my favorite.

"Entry" I'm gonna go with Marco (obvious choice I know) I just really like the way he talks-yoi! Also he has one of the most aesthetically pleasing devil fruits imo. Also a more recent reason which is a manga spoiler... I love that he let Sanji and Zoro be the ones who are gonna be taking down King & Queen. Therefore truly showing a level of understanding for the fact that there's a new era and that they're gonna be a big part of that. Anyway thanks for coming to my TedTalk

Diamond Jozu is the coolest whitebeard commander low key. The way he was able to tank hits during Marineford was beast. I want to see him again post-time skip.

I'm gonna definitely go with Vista, I love the scene where he goes head to head with Mihawk, I wish they would've shown more of him in the Marineford Arc
