Nah dude. I don't think whitebeard was using his awakening. Bkackbeard was able to do everything whitebeard could do with the same power. That fruit was already OP from the start there was simply no need for an awakening. And a paramaecia's awakening allows user to affect things other than their own body but whitebeard was already shaking the earth. But maybe his awakening could've been different. Still it's stated by kaido that awakening happens when mind and body are able to keep up with the DF. So there's a possibility that WB's fruit was awakened. But I really don't think that BB would be able to awake that fruit.
