As many of you know KZbin can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

The first band that really started to come out of its shell to add clean vocals was lamb of god and it started with their song Overlord. Since then I guess more heavy bands were following of what they did

That's an interesting way to look at it. Sturm Und Drang came out in 2015 and Mark of The Blade came out in 2016, where Whitechapel incorporated cleans for the first time.

Kin is a direct follow up to The Valley. The last line of the last track of The Valley, ‘Doom Woods’ is “the devil is alive”. The first line of the first song of Kin, ‘I Will Find You’ is “the devil is dead”. Phils evil persona or evil side that was created due to trauma as a child was personified in his song writing, story telling and lyrics in The Valley. Phil lived in Hardin Valley, Tennessee at the time hence the name “The Valley” which is where the album takes place. He moves away to go live with his grandma. His evil persona follows him out of The Valley. Enter in the song: I Will Find You. This is his evil self telling him no matter where you go or how far you go you can’t escape me. I will find you. His evil side then finds him at his grandmas house and that’s when “Lost Boy” starts. From that point on the rest of the Kin album is a war between Phil and his trauma induced evil persona. The lyrics and story telling explain it all. Some lines of songs are from Phil. Some lines are from his evil side. It’s a literal back and forth the entire album. The demon in this music video for I Will Find You is that evil persona.

I noticed the continuity with the lyrics in this song some time ago and it blew my mind. Not only is there the last line/first lien connection but the lyrics at the start of this song directly mention The Valley which is also cool.

This song was one of my favorites off of Kin, I definitely prefer The Valley over Kin, but Kin is still pretty good.
