One of the greatest Christian rock songs EVER. The lyrics, that base line...perfect.

I'm 65, was really unsettled about the charismatic thing of going round praise mountain . I discovered there was a third level or stage for us in 1 John 2. But three musical inputs helped me so much .....Amy Grant track Lead Me On, Michael W Smith album Eye2 I, and this track . Everything was still suppressed in England . I had to be in Premier Record club to even know about this music. I have never seen a female write this . I guessed they must exist but I've never seen a female make this statement . You have to be , by God's grace , pretty cool .

I still listen to Whiteheart almost daily. My 14 year daughter likes to listen, too. I've see ya'll in concert at least 4 times. I helped set up the stage for ya'll in Chattanooga in the early 90s. Tales tour. It was Valentines Day Brian Wooten asked me to take him to get flowers for his wife before the concert started. Saw you at Bryan College. Power House tour. Man, was good times! Life was so simple back then. Hope all is well with your families. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving 2022!

This video was from the band's personal collection of videos. We were finishing the PowerHouse Tour debuting songs from the new "Tales" record at this time. I was the touring drummer for the last half of the PowerHouse Tour. It was announced that I was in the band as a musician/songwriter after the Tales record was completed. I did write the song Morning Star which came out of playing my acoustic guitar after shows on long road trips. It showed up as a feature at the end of Tales record and then as a fully produced song on a future Greatest Hits record.

Tales is one of my favorite records of all times. I still listen to it. I remember when you joined, it was so refreshing. I was only a kid, 11 years old, it actually blew my mind. First time I got to really appreciate the difference a drummer can make. I loved Freedom, the mood of it and how well put together every element was. Tales represented a new height of musicianship and songwriting among every member, and it was now quarterbacked by you on drums. You were intricate yet perfectly in the pocket. Full of raw emotion, but never once over the top. It brought a sense of pop and groove while staying true to the sound of the band. A real masterpiece. White Heart songs as a whole is very much the same, tons of simple parts beautifully balanced and pieced together like a puzzle. The brilliance is transparent. Easy to grab on to but filled with years of digging deep to understand how it all works. In the end, for me, you all created one of the most passionate and articulate albums. I credit much of my own music to White Heart, specifically Tales of Wonder, and the impact you joining to create that album meant to me at that age and what I got to take away from it over the years as I came into my own. Thank you brother.

Honestly one of the best kept secrets of Christian rock, from the rest of the world. This is one of the greatest songs of all time. Full stop. I'll fight over this. lol. From the perfectly juxtaposed vocals of Ric and Mark, to Tommy's bass, topped off by McHugh's drumming. The overall composition and flow of the song are perfectly fitted to the lyrics.

I was maybe twelve years old during this tour, and it would be a few more years before I even knew who whiteheart was. Petra was the band who introduced me to Christian rock, and the rock just kept on rolling from there. There were two occasions where I nearly got to see White Hart, the first occasion I didn't even know who they were and for the second occasion I didn't know about the concert until the day after. Thanks for posting this video.

Thanks for posting this video. I really love White Heart so much. They are my all time favorite group. I wish I could have been to one of their concerts, but sadly I was not born until 2000. My parents introduced me to White Heart years ago, and I grew up listening to them ever since.

FYI fans this song is not even on the Power House album it's actually from their final early years with Rick Florian on the album Sing your Freedom. But they put it live on the Power House tour and fyi they are still touring together, Marc, Rick and good ole way back in the day lead guitar player Gordon Kennedy before Brian Wooten took over.

How can this be the Power House tour? Isn't that Jon Knox on drums? I thought he didn't join until they were almost done with the following album, and he only played on one song on that (Vendetta).

@jbstorck I thought both bands were good. Their style was a little different. Florians voice was not as raspy as john schlitt. Whiteheart seemed to have a little funk to some of their songs.
