When I told her, she was insulted that I wouldn't want to say my goodbyes and express my eternal love for her at the end. I told her, I'll do that before she puts Stairway on! I also have to come up with some memorable final last words. Maybe, I'll say "Led Zep Forever" OR. "The Stairway is Calling Me"

@John Nada No thanks! I have gotten electrical shocks a few times and they are no fun. Now if they hit me with about 5000 volts and 1000 amps, I think I wouldn't be feeling anything. 110 volts and 15 amps is painful. I want a peaceful, pain free, and pleasant way to go. Morphine and Stairway would works for me.

I was 16 and sitting with a friend who was playing this on his guitar when he said, "I want this song played at my funeral". A month later he died using inhalants. I couldn't listen to this song there after. I'm 63 now and just stumbled across this on You Tube. I've watched it 6 times in a row now. I'm crying, for several reasons, I can't explain it. I'm just glad I found it and am okay with leaving the ON SWITCH on.

Earth is not millions of years old. In fact earth is about 7000 years old. That’s a fact. The age of the earth according to science was determined by using carbon dating as well as layering in soil as well as assumptions on the creation and time needed to fossilise certain things like for example oil or the “creation” of diamonds. Carbon dating is inherently flawed because in order for it to work you need certain conditions that cannot change. As science has no way of knowing what the atmosphere was like even 200 years ago, the decay of neutrons is immeasurable in the same way. Anyway, done get lied to!

She was a hippie in the 70s , loved life, cared 1000% for my brother and me . Good and bad times she was always there. Supporting and understanding even when life situations didn’t made sense. The only vocal performance that ever did this song justice other than Robert Plant himself was Ann Wilson at the award ceremony for Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center 2012
@DrTomMD
@DrTomMD 6 ай бұрын
@crixus2871 that’s why God created opinions. Of course Robert is king having written the lyrics and sang the original. Nothing can ever beat the original. I don’t care if someone plays Eddie Van Halen‘s eruption than him. Still second place at best… but Ann at Kennedy is a hell of a second place. Says enough to me that I’ve listened to it about 200 times already and come to think of it haven’t listen to original stairway more than twice in that time. Of course, I’m catching up with the 25,000 times I’ve listened to the original stairway, but nevertheless. Ann definitely comes pretty damn close especially in context of the overall experience of living Led watching her, all the layers that are added in sequence from strings to microphone choir to horns to full force army choir - all with Bonham’s bowler cap on, come on man.

LYRICS There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to Heaven When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to Heaven There's a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure 'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, makes me wonder There's a feeling I get when I look to the West And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn for those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter Oh-oh-oh-oh-whoa If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on And it makes me wonder Ohh, whoa Your head is humming, and it won't go, in case you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind? And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one, and one is all To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway to Heaven

My father said to me i guarantee you, when u listen to more floyd and rush over the years, I'll bet you anything you'll realize now why they sound good and wish there were others that sounds good as them. So for the past 5 years I began listening to Led Zeppelin again from their first album to last album and NOW I FOUND IT AND I WENT BACK TO HIM AND SAID "YOU WERE FUCKING RIGHT". TODAY I AM NOWWW A HARD LED ZEPPELIN FAN FOR LIFEEEEEE.
