A big shoe in to those Bethesda fanboy weirdo's who are going to create some oddball gender-fluid monstrosity wearing a baseball cap & a pink skirt with a leopard's tail modded from Skyrim. Then, they take off into space - and hit a loading screen from 2012. Cue Todd Coward laughter! 🤣

Even tho the game is far from finished, I really like the fact they actually showed gameplay. It's a sign that the developers are happy with their work and proud to present their game. This should be a given but massive studios oftentimes decide to fully rely on cinematics

The reputation system idea is awesome and in a way reminds me of the territory system in GTA San Andreas. If only that game didn’t have so much extra you had to do, like workout or you get to far and slow! 😂

Given the whole War of the Bounty Hunters, Crimson Reign, and Hidden Empire arcs in the comics around this time (Between ESB and ROTJ) and this game clearly being about the criminal underworld and somewhat involving Carbonite Han, I wonder if this is going to tie into that at all especially given that the team says they had direct communication with Lucasfilm.

mmm i don't know lets hope that there are some call backs at least. I really hope to see the crymorah syndicate that is one of the big five in that period (hutts, pyke, crimson dawn, black son and crymorah) but it is not so much rappresented in the stories. but i don't know, it seems that pykes and hutts are the main ones plus the one they created for the game.

My theory is that you’ll have missions for both the Empire and the Rebellion that are optional. You can do one or the other, or even both. This lets you have multiple endings. I think the part where you have an option with that Imperial Lieutenant is a hint of that.

I thought the same but I don't think they've said anything about the game having multiple endings or being a branching type story. Jedi Survivor had the same thing with choosing what to say to someone and it didn't change the story it was just 1 or 2 different lines of dialogue. It does seem more plausible here than it does in Jedi Survivor but I feel like that's something they would've announced with the game.

I wasn't quite sure of what to make of it when I first saw the reveal trailer. I've been wanting a Star Wars game were you play as someone dealing with the seedy criminal underbelly of the Star Wars universe for years, but seeing it was a Ubisoft game I didn't want it to be just a Far Cry clone. I'm very pleased it looks to have more of a GTA/Red Dead feel to its game mechanics, but at the same time I'm kind of with Rick in that I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I'm not the biggest Ubisoft detractor, and I enjoy many of their games, but I've never really been wowed by them, and have been burned before thanks to them over-promising and under-delivering.

This looks like they put some good time and effort into it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have laser swords. 😆 I really love the Force aspect of SW and, in this part at least, this game doesn't seem to be in that arena. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the Cal Kestus games.

I am not a fan of the Jedi games from EA. I simply don’t like the souls genre very much. This however is exactly my type of game. Cool open world, third person action adventure. Now with the added bonus of cool space traversal and fights. And I really like the main character so far. Plus that little critter is fun and a nice change after bb8 and Kals droid.

But time has moved on but Survivor flattered to deceive: running into those literal blocked off sections felt so cheap and oldskool, like a game from 2002!

Ignoring the cautiousness of a new game for a moment, I think this game looks incredible. Not focussed on the force or the leading factions of the war, just getting to play as a woman making her way through the galaxy? Feeling all aspects of being an outlaw, from having to balance your reputation to fighting in inclosed environments to dog fights. I hope this game and its mechanics are done right, because it truly has the opportunity to be an incredible game.

I think it would be so damn cool if you could find different lightsabers around the planets (not necessarily using but to collect them) and there would be a character in the game (maybe a former jedi or sith) whom you could bring them to him and he would take the crystals out of them so they could do no harm anymore (maybe smth like the Ronin from Star Wars Visions). He could maybe tell different stories about each lightsaber and who it belonged to and maybe in the end Kay could use one as a gift. But I think that I dont want her to be force sensitive but she still could wield one maybe.

I don’t like the commando droids voice… it just sound normal not at all like a BX droid. We literally just had BX droids in Jedi survivor and they sound great. I get that it’s an old damaged BX droid with a new personality but I wish it had a more intimidating voice

Just give us Star Wars Skyrim. It's all anyone has asked for for years. Customizable characters, a story that makes you choose between being Jedi or sith, criminal or senator, weequay pirate or gungan fool. Looks quite interesting, but the combat needs to feel more unique. The animations look basic and rough but hopefully they'll fix it later. Also, I'm excited to find out more about Kay but them saying stuff like "she has no fear, she always finds a way" etc. could make her feel too perfect and uninteresting (kind of like Rey)

Right! This would have been a perfect opportunity for character creation. Something Fallen order didn't do. I like Kal don't get me wrong and hopefully I'll like Kay but it would've been nice to take my own characters on these adventures. They could've at least done something like ME Andromeda and made a male and Female version we could pick from. Oh well.

Something about the way gamepad players interact with the world (or maybe how they don't interact since they tend to leave their view horizontally level and turn side to side in a horribly unnatural manner) gives me motion sickness. I simply cannot watch someone play any game with a gamepad unless it's driving or like Madden.

@@KajiVocals I agree, Jedi, Sith, and Mandos have been all the rage for decades. The vast majority of Star Wars projects have them at the center, be it movies, shows, or games. It's refreshing (and imo more believable) to get stories of so-called "random" or "normal" citizens of the galaxy and following their struggles against the galaxy.
