Can someone explain to me. I’m from the UK and relatively new to powerlifting. At a UK national we can’t break world IPF records right? So how does Perkins competing at a USAPL event break a world record or am I missing something here? Remember I’m new to this…insane lifting regardless!
@Fitzz1919 Жыл бұрын
He’s in the USAPL which isn’t part of the IPF. PA or powerlifting America is the official IPF federation of america. He’s setting world records within the USAPL because this is their highest level of competition similar to IPF worlds. Also people often refer to world records even when they aren’t officially being broken to heighten the stakes for that lift.
@chrisb4474 Жыл бұрын
@@Fitzz1919 ok ok thanks 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

It is an all time world record squat regardless of the federation, tested or untested. Those are recognized separately than intra-federation records, rather encompassing powerlifting as a whole.
