Whiteline does this add caster and what are those benefits?

Calilaker CAGLS slightly firmer better feel on steering wheel, more dynamic camber allowing for sharper turn in and more stable mid corner speeds, generally speaking better clearance within wheel well. Most race teams will add as much carter as possible before adding static negative camber because with negative camber it’s a sacrifice one thing (straight line grip) for another (cornering grip. ) with caster the negative camber increases as you turn giving you the benefit of straight line grip AND cornering grip. If I’m not mistaken I believe it adds about 8 degrees of caster

@@calisti555 Yes! The main benefit is additional caster available when getting it aligned. More caster means more dynamic camber while driving/turning. Also with this part, it tweaks the front control arm in a way where when you get on throttle, whether in a straight line or corner, the front of the vehicle doesn't want to lift as much.

Also, when the mechanic is doing an alignment, do they have to align it differently or will stock alignment for daily driving be fine and still give me all the performance the Whiteline alk delivers for spirited daily straight line and cornering?

Got two questions as I have a ton of Twisties on the way and back from work, I don't go to the track as it's 300$+ a day. 1. NVH? Does it add to it? 2. How long did it take to install? I haven't taken off the LCA on this car and I know some are a complete pain in the ass.

The LCA helps more with acceleration than canyon road handling. You’re typically only in 3rd gear on canyon runs so this would serve zero benefit for you

Thanks for the video! I recently purchased the Whiteline kit myself, since I noticed that in the cold winter months, my steering felt significantly looser. The colder it got, the looser it felt, and when things started to warm up, the process began reversing itself. I suspect that the OEM rubber bushings were shrinking a bit in the cold, so I'm hoping that this ALK solves that with it's stiffer, plastic bushings. Did you notice any less free play in the steering wheel at dead center? I feel like the introduction of this free play was the worst part of the cold weather steering changes.

David Schleifstein the polyurethane bushings in the ALK should deal with temp changes better than the oem rubber. Steering is liner and a little firmer throughout the wheel turning circle

Awesome video. Would you say this kit tightened the steering feel. My CTR has some on center play that drives me crazy. You think this would help?

Mladjan Antic little bit but nothing crazy. I already have a rear engine mount from Hasport so the difference for me was negligible

None unless you track pretty hard. Bushing might split but they've since then redesigned the bushing to fix the one issue
