As you mentioned the dub a cute lil fact about it is that most of the English VA’s from the original in 2001 came back to voice their character again in the new version which is super cool to see imo. Main characters like kyo, tohru, yuki and shigure as well as side characters like kisa ayame hatori and a bunch more all reprised their roles which I think is such a cute ode to the original. In ep 8 there’s a bit where tohru is washing up and in the dub she’s humming the originals theme song too

Oh Yes, we arrived At Hana's episodes! This is the Classic fun and cheerful episode before The attack. I freaking Love Hana and her family.

i love how this show explores all the characters, whether its their sadness, happiness, anger, and everything in between and you see how this bleeds and weaves into all their relationships, can't wait till you guys get to s2 and 3, all of the building of these characters really comes to a head and is so interesting!

I really like, that we see more of their school mates. The fact that the show does not just consist of the three girls and the Sohmas makes this world feel so much more lived in. Also at their age the interaction with their peers is one of the most important things, so I like they included some of that, and do not just let them exist in a bubble.

When u said the Kisa abuse came outta nowhere I remembered how it kinda happened with me to lol our family and cousins had met after a long time for a wedding and the parents where talking abt stuff to catch up and outta nowhere they would say the most disturbing things happening and all of the cousins where like wth is going on
