It's always baffled me that any ethnicity can be proud of their genealogy, but if you're white and say you're proud of your heritage, you're instantly labeled as a racist smh.
@barnhib
@barnhib 6 ай бұрын
It's a little different because a) white is not a heritage, its a skin color. Irish is a heritage. German is a heritage. No one is gonna attack you because you're proud to be Irish. b) White pride in the past has been used as an excuse to inflict terrible suffering on people who weren't white.

I am white. I grew up in the Redondo Beach area and my brother and I got our money taken from us and jumped by Mexicans as kids. We also got robbed by blacks in the old town mall in Torrance. That was my introduction to people of color, and as I got older and started going to the county jail and prison, I really got into the white Pride thing. It wasn’t till years later, but I realized that those people of color were probably targeting me as a white because maybe the police were white that were targeting them or maybe White school teachers may have treated them different, I don’t know. All I know is that it’s a cycle that gets passed on and down the line. I don’t have the answer because that is an issue that goes back to the dawn of time. But what I can do is live my life with respect for every human being.

I’m a SoCal Wood. I was not raised to be racist. Then in 71 I went in the Army and experienced mild racism. Then in 74 I caught an N number ( CDC state gave the N ( narcotics) number with a 0-7 year rehab chance and shot me off to CRC Norco. There I experienced racism like never before to include a riot with the blacks. I went on to do a couple violations , picked up a C number , went to the CMC -E in 81 ( pre SNY ) and ultimately was sent to Cuesta fire camp. I was level 3-2-1. Just yer common tecato. I refuse to embellish , like a certain individual with the initials WW does , about my 6 1/2 yrs on the “ installedment plan” in CDC Things were different back then in CDC. I’m glad you touched on this subject because whites are by far the minority in CDC. And when you account for the whites that ran and hid under their bunks when shit cracked those minority numbers slumped even further. So yeah, we pretty much aligned with the raza. Personally, I always got along well with them. The loyalty of the raza as a whole is something I admire. And , of course, they always had the best carga. Just my 2 cents. Keep it coming Dubs. Yer content rocks 😎

Learned hatred is sad and because of it; different races and cultures have different views and ways of doing things that rub their counterparts the wrong way. That’s just what it is. I didn’t think I was a r*cist and then I started hanging out with bl@ck people and that made me question myself. I still see everyone as human beings and just because someone has more melanin doesn’t make them any less human but some things just irritate me.

I think there are all types in each group. No one group has any sort of monopoly on shit bags, on creepy MFers, or on hard stand up men. When everything else is stripped away, we have far more in common than we do different. I’ve never been to prison myself. I joined the Navy right out of High School and served in the Submarine Service for 8 years. I often thought when underway that to the rest of the world, it was as if you didn’t exist at all. Coming back from deployment and hearing new music, seeing new movies, seeing colors again, smelling a woman again, it was both intoxicating as well as sensory overload. I’m in a 1% Motorcycle Club now and the more I watch your videos the more I find that I relate to some of the things you speak on. Not necessarily the experiences but the thinking. It’s not the same, but relatable on some level and I find it very thought provoking. It helps me think on things.

This was a good topic. I came from a poor migrant background(Greek). So I experienced racism growing up. My family was involved in crime and eventually I ended up in prison and being labelled white I was again part of the minority. Anywhere I've ever been to prison the groups who are labelled or identify as black are always in the majority and at best wary of white people and sometimes ultra racist. It took many years of doing prison time in one particular place before I became familiar and eventually devoted great respect for and friendship with guys that were black. It's a double edged sword really, for that many more people of particular minorities to end up in prison that society either is or has been in the recent past inherently racist. Of course when the shoe gets placed on the other foot and you end up in what some people might claim as their world there is going to be some kind of reaction. That's why I always feel privileged if someone is willing to share their culture with me but I know in my heart that these things are the surface material treats of the physical world. Underneath all that we're both just men. The important thing is that man is inviting me to share in something that he values, that shaped his personality. It's sad that people cling to these things to differentiate themselves. At the end of the day we've entered an age where money is what the powerful use to differentiate one group from another. So while we're divided doing battle on a prison yard the cats in control see no difference between us

I read alot of comments on here and I do feel that the racial divide is just an ignorant way to create power within your particular culture or group. I am white but grew up in a heavily Mexican city. Baldwin Park Bolen Parque same town as lefty gun play. I can tell you that growing up I learned I better throw chingasos or I was gonna get beat down. My pops and pretty much his whole entire side is from Bolen. I’m a part of lineage. So my dad didn’t let me have that punk mentality. I ended up proving myself to the point that I was accepted by just about everyone I grew up with. Having second homes to go hangout and drink choco milk or a hit bowl of pozole. Shit I was in 6 quinceneras and was chambelon 2 times. I was even there when KHA started back in 89. I was an OG. We were taggers, now it’s a full blown gang. I experienced the most racism though in the military. I was in the Army for 17 years and man that place is institutionalized just like prison. Races stick to races. I was different though being where I am from I always kicked it with the Cali cats. See we got state beef that nobody really knows about. New York, Florida, and Texas hate California. We literally had brawls about that shit back in 93-96 when Tupac and Biggie were beefing. I’m not racist my ex wife was chicana from south central my sons half and 90% of all the chick I date are Mexican. My last relationship before this my chick was straight from Sonora. When I very first went into uk prison after being stripped out and processed we were in holding cells before going to the wing. 2 white lads were giving an Asian lad some shit and I told them to leave him alone. Luckily it didn’t turn violent. The Asian lad thanked me and said he thought he was about to get beat up. A couple days later I saw the Asian lad in the gym and I nodded to him as I walked past for him to suck his teeth at me because he was stood with a group of Asian guys and I’m a white guy. On a scale on 1-10 if racism in the US is a 10 the uk would be a 2. It happens too much but not on the scale as other countries but it was the first time I had received it.

I'm White and growing up, my dad was racist against the Blacks and it took many years, for me as I was an adult but it was a battle for me to get over it. I am no longer racist, we are all human beings and the difference is, just a different color of skin ❤

Once a racist, always a racist. All it takes is you getting mad enough for it to resurface....so you ain't fooling nobody but yourself. The fact that you still say sh1t like "the blacks" is proof in the pudding...

Breh you brainwashed yourself against the reality of race (it is not just a paint job). Just remember, around blax, never relax and 13/60.

You never been put in the crip tank. Living in a town of 6000 now there are more Africans than African Americans. They are way cooler than the crip tank.

I'm part peruvian and part white (scottish and jewish) with a little bit of native american thrown in the mix. Just an all around mutt that tans dark but otherwise looks "white". I sometimes wonder who I'd have to run with in the california system. Beautiful state but I'm glad I'm in florida and never had to play the race politics on that level.

It never gets talked about but you can grow up racist on accident also for instance- If you were young and you’re walking through a hardware store and you see a guy from India in the fertilizer aisle and the first time you smell fertilizer you connected to that person you think Indian smell like fertilizer took me about 20 years to unscrew that one

Its funny how different areas are in the mid west everyone was pretty chill but yeh i saw racism but it was alot more a guy here or there. The racism i saw alot of those was Muslims they hated everyone who wasnt on that train they would push shit to the limit then scream victum. But in Mid west it was pretty chill. But most a hung with race but never had issues with walking yard with your homie who may be from different race. Everyone just needs to get over it. Skin color font mean shit as long as you show respect. This is all our planet we need to push the hate away and find love and understanding

@@ShonTV15that's so bogus. There's 16 year olds built like adults yet they consider a 25 year old to be appropriate to put in with 12 year olds?!
