@@beatsbyrooz2632 that is how business or economy works when there is a surplus. Why are canned tomatoes so cheap? Because we have too many tomatoes! A huge amount is thrown away every year. Today average price for a plugin is usd 35, not refering to list price only, but also deals! Still way too much. Remember, music is for free nowadays, why paying for something to make a free product finally? Makes no sense. At least offer acceptable prices. EXAMPLE you sell a plugin for 200 usd 800 times = 160.000 usd, now you sell it 80.000 times for 15 usd = 1.2 Mio usd!!! That's business, that's profit that is clever! You sell a download link with an activation code only! Is it in Saudia Arabia and UAD, where fuel is for free? Why? Because there is surplus. I love it, the only thing I've noticed with this version is that the "SEL ATTEN" knob affects the signal (high frequencies) regardless of whether the "Atten" knob (to its left) is at 0. You can put a song or a drum loop that has high frequencies, and you can change between 20, 10 and 5 the Sel Atten and you will notice how it affects the signal. Does the same thing happen to you too? If so, I hope someone tells the dev so he can fix it in a next update.

Having tried some of his plugins myself a can say that these plugins are absolute gifts from heaven. I really like the sound and it is basically impossible to destroy a signal when working with them. Even on extreme settings it still sounds nice. The only downside to this is that these aren't avilable in .aax format. Since i like to mix and master in ProTools, i can not use these plugins there. I'd have to use some kind of aax-wrapper plugin to be able to use them and i find that to be always a bit more complicated.

It’s like this that all it takes is one smart developer who knows what she/he is doing and has the right values. You don’t need to develop hundreds of products, but do a few things right. It is possible to emulate the sound of analog gear if you just think hard enough and think outside the box. But big brands rather put their money into marketing and branding.

@@lightafluident.9950 Like dont get me wrong. Waves does have some good plugins. And when you need affordable and dependable, they're always there. It's just a lot of smaller plugin companies do what they do faaaar better now. At one time, that wasn't the case but the plugin game has evolved and Waves is no longer on top "quality" wise. They just dominate with quantity, having better GUI's, and being more well known. Thats about it. I can think of several companies that do better than them. But Analog Obession and Airwindows puts them to even more shame because all their plugins are not only better quality in general but FREE

Exactly, it's well known that amateurs who've never completed a decent song do not like Waves.

Started off with Abandonware, asking high prices for "special" plugins, then randomly removing the products, asking money again later for re-issuing them. There was a time when he'd almost weekly post on Facebook that he wants to sell the company, and people should pay him for the name. Uses Faust or something to create DSP code for him, has no clue what it's actually doing, you should see the clueless things he posted in the JUCE or KVR Developer forums, even asked users who had a clue if he could pay them so they do the work for him. His old SSL bus comp used to go silent if you turned the volume up, expected behaviour according to him. There was a minor scandal when some (or all?) of his (by then turned freeware) Windows versions contained malware or a virus or something. Sunk so low that he registered another website, advertised commercial products to the KVR crowd, was called out and proven to be behind the new company, still lied about it, eventually took the new website down in a matter of hours. He eventually admitted it, but never publicly apologized for the deception. In all the time he sold his products, and I know because I naively purchased a few to support a new developer, he didn't issue VAT on invoices, he probably never had his "company" registered. And yes, even in Turkey there's such a thing as VAT, just under some different name. All of this is still documented available to read on the web, if you don't believe me. OK, apart from the "we're a new company" lie thread that he deleted to wipe his traces. This Ridvan dude is the sketchiest of the sketchy, I will NEVER trust anything he does, and I definitely won't send any money his way. Even if he meanwhile learned actual mathematical DSP to do things in an original way, which I highly doubt. Yeah. Free is the only price those things deserve, and "caveat emptor".

Wow! It’s so good to see one done correctly. At any price really. But the Patreon price is good. I’m going to begin using these immediately. If I also like them, I’ll make a video showcasing them. 👍👍

AO has BEEN THAT DUDE! UAD, Waves, Plugin Alliance they have good stuff indeed but AO has the mind of an mixer and producer when he puts his stuff together. He truly thinks of the music and not the accessories. I will always be a subscriber of Analog Obsession, ALWAYS. I still have my OG PC downloads from back in 2013

Lindell offers gain matching when engaging the preamp section of their Neve clone as well. You can turn the gain matching on/off as well. What I like about the AO version, is that it got rid of the concentric pots that drive me bonkers when trying to easily adjust settings. Having two adjustments in the same space is just terrible for me. But here's the thing... if you're a plug-in developer... it's OKAY to build your plug-ins in a way that offers alternative GUIs. Yes, giving users alternative layouts and even the ability to redesign the layout (if they have the coding skills) is a BIG DEAL.

The only thing I dislike about analog obsession is the naming convention. There are so many plugins and none of them have sensible names that describe what they do, so you have to memorize what each plugin does or go to some kind of article that explains each one.
