Little disappointing that Vandenberg, the dude who composed that epic guitar solo, didn't play his own masterpiece particularly well. His timing was way off on various phrases and his technique was sloppy to say the least. Kind of a letdown. So was Coverdale's climactic scream, which sounded more like a shriek.

Properly trained, whatever. He's just old... Dio was never trained... Your voice just goes at some point. It's Metal. All the greats can't hit the same notes as they once could. Halford , Dickinson, Brian Johnson, Geoff Tate, Ozzy. Axl Rose seems to have gotten his second wind though. He sounded pretty damn good last year... Probably not as good as 1987 but whatever...
