Ben I know you try to put it in these videos and you do a great job. But people really who don't do it like you do have no idea the mental strategies up and downs it's crazy. ABsolute STUD Ben congrats! Caught with your shirt off Lol You can laugh at it now but at the time man that had to of been a helpless feeling. Love the CRP or Fallow idea because it hits home for me. On one particular property I have I've killed mature bucks only on the years we have decided to let our main plots go fallow instead of planting it all. I see less overall deer there but the big mature bucks seem to feel safer around it and less social stress from does. So just solidified what I've been witnessing as well!

Way, WAY TOO MUCH concern is paid to scent! The old timers used to smoke cigarettes in the stand and killed giants! Wind direction, STILLNESS and movement patterning are way more important. Native Americans killed deer by stalking within bow range. Did they not sweat? They rarely (if ever) took baths, but they knew how to move stealthily and knew how to be quiet and knew how to cut deer off en route.
