Only 10 minutes in. I love that you actually showed your mistakes. There is literally nothing from stopping you from editing that out. Kudos man. Thank you for being so honest. Ps to who ever that other hunter was, dude. Respect. You literally could’ve went and sit 100+ yards away and to me, that would’ve been fine (bow hunting). Like that’s still just luck of the draw. The fact they gave a disappointing thumbs up, but didn’t even hesitate to turn around was mind boggling to me. Damn respect bud

Always a good sign when you see that high kick with the back legs after lettin an arrow fly! Any buck is a good buck when you're on public land, no history in the area, using a bow etc! MeatEater is easily the best hunting, fishing, shooting, trapping, outdoors etc channel & company! Have been hooked since season 1 episode 1 of meateater with rinella, keep killin it fellas love the content!

Grew up in ND. The public land is few and far between and quite small square plots. It’s not uncommon to have a couple tree stands set up within a few acres of each other. Now living in the west and taking advantage of the vast swaths of public land!

Nice hunt. Those cold windy days will test the toughest hunters. The family and I just moved back to West Central MN from SW Florida and I haven’t hunted in 5 years. I CANNOT wait. This gets me fired up. I haven’t made it out with the bow yet but fun season is right around the corner and boy am I pumped.
@johnnybuckbrush19 күн бұрын
Congrats on the buck! 🏹 I've hunted these same spots from the ground a few times. There are normally so many hunters out there during the end of Oct that I stay away. Funny that Subaru decided to drive out in the middle of that area. I almost shot a doe in those small rolling sand hills late in the season on a spot and stalk. Was just trying to fill the freezer at that point. I ended up getting one 4 miles east of there that year.

Just found out my job is shutting down for three weeks and I've been kicking around the idea of grabbing a South Dakota archery tag and trying to bag one. My freezer is full thanks to a Wyoming mule deer who donated himself to my venison fund and I haven't practiced at all with my bow but it's something to do. Or I could just go duck hunting.
@Rural420cannabisАй бұрын

Could do ND archery tag. Missouri River is full of public land and decent bucks like the one harvested here. Or head to western ND and see tons of big mulies that you can’t tag out on and still shoot a good whitetail

Wow that’s awesome that guy turned around. Congratulations nice buck. My friend of 30 years is an amazing hunter like all of us watches and watches and thinks hunting year round. He moved to ND and he can kill one white tail a year. Screw that I moved to Tennessee were I can kill 3 does every day 2 bucks a year and we have a velvet season and because I hunt on my property I have 3 extra days at the end of the season I get 3 extra days to kill does. So in total I can kill over 300 does and 2 bucks a year. Screw ND but congratulations to you that was a real nice buck

@Kingfisher2225Ай бұрын
Cool hunt well done. Just a word though especially on public land. After you are done your hunt don’t go and tromp around in the brush and push deer out and ruin the next guys hunt. Get your deer, get your gear and get out. Low impact low noise. Just like the guy that was courteous to you, be courteous to the next guy.
@marktate446621 күн бұрын
I enjoy watching this guy, and the show was good ( here it comes) but... public land, you killed your deer, good job, don't go back in there after and stink up the whole area and run all the deer onto the private ground. Have the same kind of respect for other hunters that the guy at the beginning had for you.

The whole time I was thinking, “The weather forecast called for freezing temp’s, it’s usually quite windy there, why not dress warmer 🤷♂️?” When the first real cold front comes in it’s really easy to underestimate how cold it’s going to be and under dress 🥶. But for the next set add layers, heated socks, hand warmers, etc. 🤓
