Mate the amount of laughs going in that boat was epic!!. 'Yep, I'm on' - from your brother every two minutes or so was just gold!! 😂😂.

Hahaha yeah my brother was just too cool, calm, and collected up the front, swinging 38cm whiting around to us on the back deck 🤣🤣 what a crack up. Gotta love hitting the water with family and friends. Thanks for the comment mate 😁🎣

We went out on Sunday night just a little cold, I ended up in my swag freezing my arse off while my mate fished in his sleeping bag on his chair. Lucky one of us thought it was going to be cold LoL 😂

Hahaha yep that’s the only problem with fishing for them in September, it’s still bloody cold some nights hey 😂😂 did you get a few though mate?

@willkitchingАй бұрын
Hi mate. I haven’t fished for them in North Brisbane but I would love to try those rivers and the Moreton Bay foreshores when I get a chance! I’ve seen people catch them at Margate and I hear they’ve been biting in the Pine River lately. Hopefully you can get out and nail a few over Spring and Summer mate 😁🙌

Hi mate, I’m not sure whether you’ve accidentally commented on the wrong video, or whether you’re trying to say that it’s good that we keep things simple. I try to be as real and down to earth as possible in my videos, so I really appreciate the comment if that’s what you meant mate. Tight lines 😁🎣

Nice vid mate and awesome feed. 🤙🤙 I just come into possession of a few alveys im hoping to use. I noticed the line is spooled far from the rod, i would have thought it be closer to the pole. Does that tangle or get caught? I love the drag sound on these reels!
@willkitchingАй бұрын
Thanks mate! Whiting are so relaxing and fun to target at the same time, and as you said - delicious!! 🤤 That’s awesome that you got yourself a few Alveys, they’re so fun and simple to use 🙌 With the hand that’s holding your rod, you have to use a finger or a few fingers to guide the line onto the reel. That way, the line goes straight from the bottom guide of the rod, to your fingers (close to the rod), then to your reel if that makes sense? I will send you a photo on Facebook or something to help explain too if you need👌🎣

I was wondering for the jetty at Caloundra is 20lb to heavy I thought It would be better to step up from 10lb with the Queenfish Tera ally and tailor coming in through the new opening ?
@willkitchingАй бұрын
Hi mate! If you’re just targeting whiting and flathead, 8-10lb line is all you need mate. We use 8lb mono as our mainline and leader. If you’re particularly wanting to catch those bigger fish like tailor, trevally, bigger flathead, and queenfish, you could have a rod set up with 20lb. You could even try to catch some live baits to cast out, or just use pilchards or larger strips of mullet. You’d be surprised what you’ll catch! 😁🎣 tight lines and good luck mate

Awesome work bro! That was sick! HEAPS of whiting! If you don’t mind me asking, what size hooks ya running? I’ve never caught a whiting but always wanted to, and also what bait ya running? I’ve heard tiny bits of squid work well amd also nippers? Keep up the great work! Certainly not boring when ya catch that many fish! Tight lines bro! 🎣🤙🇦🇺🎣🤙🇦🇺🎣🤙🇦🇺
@willkitching2 ай бұрын
Hey mate, thanks heaps for the comment! I’m glad you enjoyed and it’s awesome to hear that you’re keen to catch a few whiting. Keep trying because you’ll definitely get a few soon I’m sure. We use Mustad ‘Bloodworm’ size 4 extra-long shank hooks. They’re great for whiting. We just use live yabbies (nippers) as bait and light 8lb monofilament line as our mainline and leader. Our leader is quite long around 80-85cm. I hope these tips help mate and thanks again for watching! You’ll catch that big whiting soon I’m sure of it 😉👍🎣
