Maybe you're not aware of the differences between lice and humans. Humans have lungs. Insects do not. I remember someone making the same argument about a factory near my town... for their brochure, they showed they had beehives nearby... as if healthy bees meant the factory could not be the cause of lung problems in the men who worked there and the people who lived downwind.

@@jimbobeire Zyklon B was a special commercial preparation containing hydrocyanic acid. The name "Zyklon B" was only the trade name, the active ingredient was called either Prussic Acid or Hydrocyanide. HCN was prepared at the factory and delivered absorbed in a porous carrier, either wood pulp or diatomaceous earth (chalk). It was supplied either in discoids or snippets or pellets. This preparation was sealed in an airtight can which required a special can opener. In this form the HCN - Zyklon B was much safer and easier to handle. The discoids, snippets or pellets had to be spread on the floor of the area to be fumigated or utilized in a chamber which circulated and heated the air within the chamber in excess of 78.3 degrees Fahrenheit (25.7 degrees Centigrade). If used in buildings, ships, or tents, the area must be heated to an excess of 78.3 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of HCN. Failure to do this will result in a much longer time to complete the fumigation. Fumigation takes a minimum of 24 to 48 hours. After the fumigation, the ventilation of the area must take a minimum of ten hours, depending on the location (and volume). Longer if the building has no windows or exhaust fans. The fumigated area must then be chemically tested using prepared paper strips for the presence of gas before entering. Complete chemical suits MUST be worn to prevent poisoning through the skin. The warmer the temperature and the drier the location, the faster and safer the handling will be. For every disinfestation, a disinfestation team will be used, consisting of at least 2 men. The gassing leader is responsible for the gassing. His duties include particularly inspection, aeration, giving the all clear and safety measures. The orders of the gassing leader should be obeyed without hesitation. Untrained personnel or trained personnel without a certificate should not be used for gassing operations. Such persons also should not be allowed to enter a room filled with gas. The gassing leader should know where his personnel are at all times. All personnel should be able to prove at all times that they possess official authorization to use Prussic acid for disinfestation of pests

@@hunterfisher1294 He does not mention that in his autobiography. Only that he was given a document written in English and told that if he didn't sign it his wife and children would be handed over to the Russians. The British do acknowledge that they told him that. If he was given a German translation why didn't he see that they named a camp that didn't exist ? I just find it odd that when the man was so obviously guilty, why did they use " unorthodox" means.

For the same reason that the British officials were never in the dock for creating a famine in Ireland, nor the famine in Bengal killing millions, nor that the US was never in the dock for giving tuberculosis to the native Indians, or dropping agent orange on the Vietnamese. Nor Leopold II for his crimes in the Congo, Nor Mao in China. If you're still in power, you don't go in the dock. If you lose power, you can be held accountable, and dance on the end of a rope, like Saddam Hussein. He should have faced justice when he oppressed his own people, gassed the Kurds, etc... but during his worst crimes, the west continued to supply him with intel, and chemicals to make his chemical weapons. Once he became more useful out of power, then the unpunished crimes of the past caught up with him... but without mention of how the powers that hanged him, had previously supported him.

Greatest killers of mankind?? How about Churchill - Bengal Famine( a man made famine)
@philipeafroboy15 жыл бұрын
There's little doubt that Churchill viewed those on the sub-continents as inferior - as did pretty much everybody at the time. Food and supplies were prioritized for the military given that it was in the middle of WW2. Even so the maximum amount of deaths is 3 million, so still far less than what the Nazis, Soviets or Mao's China did. Not that we should be comparing tragedies
