There is nobody who sings like Whitney. Incredible is an understatement but I saw her perform live three times in London and the first two times she was pitch perfect but the last time she struggled as she was losing her voice. It was my privilege to have seen her and everyone loved her.
@jobuck8794 жыл бұрын
Nicholas McCarthy No not Mariah. Mariah has never been consistent singing live. She will either use dubbing or lip syncing or just dodge notes. Whitney sang until the very end. And her stage presence and interpretation of her songs were unique. She never sang a song the same way twice.

Among all opinions about this video, undoubtedly yours matches with mine. Her voice invades my heart bringing tears to my eyes. This was her peak imo. The early 90's ... After this era, her voice started slowly but surely deteriorating. But her technique was able to hide the flaws during the Bodyguard era. I believe this was the year she recorded most of the Bodyguard soundtrack as well. Because her ability in the upper belting area was a lot effortless here than it was just 2 years later. Her technique was sick during this entire show (and era). My favorite performances were *Greatest Love Of All & Didn't We Almost Have It All/A House Is Not A Home/Where Do Broken Hearts Go* melody. She was the best outta the vocal trinity. The absolute best popular vocalist of her generation and one of the greatest singers in vocal history.
@onedollarbleach68916 жыл бұрын
Right! This IS her peak. I love her tone in this era, it was so versatile. In this performance her voice got rlly dark and sounded almost masculine, but then she changes it into a soft and pretty tone. It’s like they’re coming from two different ppl. And she was more creative and soulful in this era. She had it all. But vocally I kinda lean towards her 80’s voice bcuz it was so healthy and her upperbelts were so effortless in the Whitney era. But overall I prefer the IYBT era

The BEST EVER! That “Welcome Home Heros” concert is my favorite! She killed that concert! Yes! Throughout this song, all you can do is shake your head. There will never be another! If you don’t have “that man” you want to FIND him! You nailed it....angelic, power, smooth, strong. She barely looks like she barely opens her mouth when the power comes. And the thing I loved the most is her vocals are crisp and CLEAR! You aren’t straining to understand her words. Just phenomenal in every way.

I watched this entire concert when it was released on HBO in 1991. I attended one of her shows a couple of years prior. She was already amazing, but this live performance was in-freaking-sane!! "All the Man That I Need" is one of my favorite songs of hers...and at this concert, she tore it up AND down. She could hit you with her strong, powerful vocals but then come back so soft and gentle. Such an incredibly talented songstress. She created magic with her voice. R.I.P. Whitney Houston. #TheVoice
