That ain’t just ‘sax’, ‘that’s Kirk Whalum. Might wanna check him out. He’s one of the most respected & successful smooth jazz artists on the planet. He knew Whitney very well & was one of the people called on to offer commentary in the documentary on Whitney called, Can I Be Me. It gives awesome insight, but is also heartbreaking to reflect. Maybe you don’t know that she & Bobby Brown had been married.

She still has the most beautiful voice that I've ever heard. I suggest you react to 'The Greatest Love of All' by her, at at the Arista Records 15th Anniversary Concert. Or 'One Moment In Time', live at Sammy Davis Jr's. 60th Anniversary. Her Grammy performance of that song is maybe even better, but that version gets removed a lot from KZbin.

You should watch the official video of this song. Flawless. If you want to see a great live Whitney performance, go find, 'Why Does It Hurt So bad'. She is wearing a white jumpsuit, and she tears that song up. It is fantastic, and SOULFUL TO THE MAX!! Another good live performance is a young Whitney singing 'Didn't We Almost Have It All'. Outdoor stadium, blue jeans, a bomber jacket and leather gloves. So great......

Literally NOBODY tries to sing like Whitney. And I wish yall stop tryna push that narrative. If you think they’re tryna sing like her, you probably just think they sound great. And it’s okay to say that bc there are some phenomenal singers out there. Nobody tries to imitate her and by this logic, she’s tryna sing like Aretha. But we don’t agree with that right? Exactly

for me Whitney is the GOAT and about 1989-mid way through Bodygaurd tour was her best voice. Still many great years/performances after that but the peirod I mentioned is my favorite for her live stuff. It's been stated, I believe even by Whitney herself, the 15 month Bodyguard tour was hard on her voice. with that said look at 1995 live of "Why Does It Hurt so Bad" omg!

What you are witnessing here is part of an iconic moment that may never be repeated again the way this country is going. In August of 1990 Bush Sr. launched Operation Desert Shield also known as the Gulf war. By January '91 morale among troops was low and there was a lot of resistance to the war. In January '91 Whitney Houston performed a flawless rendition of the Star Spangled banner at the superbowl. A few months later she wanted to go oversees to perform and show support for the troops, but the war had ended. She instead decided on this concert to welcome the troops home. For a brief moment, Whitney Houston brought this country together in a way that no one expected from an African American RnB singer. People who were wronged by this country fell in love with this country and even factions of this country known for racism were singing her praises. It was brief moment in time, but not the first time Whitney transcended racial barriers. React to something from her first album and I'll tell you the story. As for the Star Spangled Banner superbowl performance. It was so popular that she released it as a charity single to raise money for the families of combat soldiers during the gulf war. We've seen her amazing soul through her music but she also had a very big heart. This is a facebook video because I cant remember the title of the youtube video. Here Whitney sang 3 of the toughest songs ever written back to back and pulled it off flawlessly. This is undoubtedly the greatest award show performance I've ever witnessed. This is legendary in a way that makes you realize how much is lacking in today's music. We were so accustomed to this back then that this great performance is rarely cited for its greatness. facebook.com/WhitneyHouston/videos/i-loves-you-porgy-and-im-telling-you-im-not-going-and-i-have-nothing/297316374282895/ Whitney Houston's concert version of this song was so well received that they made it the official video for the song despite it being different than the album version. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5CXgZ-DbZqBgNE Whitney live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX2cdoCbYpyNatk kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4u2epR6h7t0n6M There's a story behind this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXivYWxvqZ2caNU

I love this tremendously. I also love her rendition of the Donny Hathaway classic, "A Song for You" from the same show. You can tell Whitney abides by the mantra, Go hard or go home. She killed this. Jack, if you get a chance, please please please do "Nobody loves me like you do." It is her duet with her brother, Gary Houston, a rare one from 1985. Her voice is super strong and she hits a few notes that surprised me. Also, I have to commend you. Not only are you playing the music that you like, but you may be exposing some of your fans to music they may have never heard of. This may, by extension, cause them to go out and support some of these artists (financially and otherwise). And some of these artists need more support than others. Thanks.

Whitney Houston the best singer that ever walked this earth. Clive Davis said that. By the way. They are coming out with a movie about Whitney's life coming in Dec 2022. Called, "I want To Dance With Somebody" Get your tissues out. She is so loved. Suppose to be fantastic. New movie trailer is out now . Clive Davis searched a year to find the girl to play Whitney. That was hard. Whitney was so powerful, and beautiful. But he (is) using "all" her vocals because no one, no one can sing as "great" as Whitney Houston. She was a gift from the Heavens. She had it all. Thank you for playing Whitney Houston. She truely is and always will be the best singer that walked this earth. It's great to see the younger generation discovering her.

No doubt, she is Whitney Houston "The Greatest Voice of All Time". Many called her as "The Voice" and NO QUESTION FOR THAT. Guiness World recognized her as "The Most Awarded Female-Act of All Time". In every report of who are the best singers of all time, she's always in the list. "If not the best, probably one of the best singers of all time" - Aretha Franklin "The Greatest Voice of All Time" - Baby Face "No one could beat her during the past decades (her prime) , not Mariah, not Celine." - Dianne Sawyer She also influenced some of the greatest legends and to be legends soon such as: Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, Brandy, Jessie J., Christina Aguillera, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande and many more As a big fan of Whitney Houston, kindly react to some of her perfomances that I considered as my top 10 among her best😘😘😘 1. You should react to Whitney’s “One moment in time” live at the Grammys which to me is the best vocal live performance ever done by anyone and also do her “Didn’t almost have it all live”

I absolutely think that its time you react to the third member of the vocal trinity, alongside Mariah and Whitney: Celine. If you're looking for a flawless vocal performance with the emotion and power, I'd highly recommend this performance here, If You Asked Me To from 1992: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqTMlYmvpJZopNk

I wonder how many men went back and women back to their quarters and wrote their loved one letters or video called all emotional after that.

This was from the Welcome Home Heroes concert, March of 1991, a month after the Gulf War. January 27 1991, ten days into the Gulf War, she performed her iconic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner during the Super Bowl XXV for our troops deployed in Operation Desert Storm.
