I LOVE this simply because she is articulate vocally, but even more than that she has stage presence. She's not naked, half naked, no funny costumes and ridiculous dancers in the back all jumping around all over the place. Some of these concerts that are put on today wear me out with all of that hoopla. Its just Whitney, the mike, a dark arena, and her sparkley jacket. AWESOME!!

you can tell this was professionally shot on film. so i cant understand why they wont put this concert out on dvd. Arista said that the one on HBO in 1991 was her first concert to be filmed, which i find hard to believe considering how HUGE she was back in 1987-1988 with her world tour and how quickly she sold out stadiums at that time. I did hear the one from 1986, & agree that it's one of the best. I just prefer this one b/c she takes her time & really puts a lot of emotion & feeling into it. I think b/c you can see her performance here, it makes it more enjoyable. It's a shame they don't have a video of the one from '86 & that the sound quality isn't quite as good. The best part of Whitney's live performances is being able to see them as well as hear them.
