I saw her open for the Commodores a very long time ago before anyone knew who she was. She was phenominal, blew us all away that night. Long before Beyonce, there was Whitney, she paved the way. I find it difficult to watch her performances or see others cover her songs on talent shows. I finally got up enough courage to watch "The Bodyguard" only 2 weeks ago, she has been gone for almost 7 yesrs. I miss her so much she was gone way too soon. RIP Whitney, thankyou for all the phenominal music. You will live on forever in our memories!

lol why? obviously because Whitney did not grow up speaking Korean, nonetheless she (or her team) chose to come to Korea knowing how successful her music is there. Many people can enjoy music without necessarily understanding word for word (as we can tell from the cheering audience in this vedo), plus many Koreans (and people from a country with a language that is not common) are aware that English is one of the most omnipresent languages so they manage to learn at least some of it. Singers will generally speak in whatever language they are comfortable speaking when they do a show
