The 80s.. 😍😍😍 MTV and music videos were young and new. I would rush home from school to watch videos. We would be in the floor in front of the TV dancing along.

I was a hard core head banger in the 1980's. Judas Priest, Motley Crue, etc. but Whitney was my guilty pleasure to listen to. Still great to hear and such a wonderful talent! No comparison in today's "stars."

Hi Billy. FYI - the reason that Whitney pronounces the word later with an ah sound at the end is because she was from New Jersey. People from New England, New Jersey, and New York tend to replace the sound of the letter r with a and ah sounds. I was born in Massachusetts and most of my family still lives there so I know.

Thank you for this Brother. This song was from her second album released in 1987. It was produced by Narada Michael Walden. Who had also produced hits for Ms. Aretha. Makes sense when you consider that Whitney and Aretha were both on the Arista Label under Clive Davis. This was a huge pop hit and spent 2 weeks at number 1.
