She was my fav for this very reason. I don't care what people say...Kristin is who I would want to be on this show. I also think Morgan (the BYU one) seems pretty confident or at least she's always bubbly. I don't care If LC or Jessica or whoever is prettier than Kristin according to some..I always found Kristin to be the most attractive because she doesn't care and seems to be the most honest. I don't like snobby people but all the snobbiness that Kristin seems to have...she does it right if that makes sense...she owns it.

I was Jessica in a sense of the insecurity and focusing on one guy and obsessing..and I got told to just shut up lol so Kristin did pretty well. Don't forget this...Kristin never seemed to vent like "I'm sad" vent. So Kristin is looking at her like "Come on I got problems tooo but I don't do this" probably.

Alex didn't give Jessica one tiny shred of respect- when she was openly pursuing Jason while he was dating Jessica, or after she "got him" and spoke about Jessica as if Jason never even liked her. She took every chance she could to try and "win Jason", and then she thought she was making herself look so great by trying to fight a girl that obviously is terrified of her. I'm not a Jessica fan but Alex made herself look like an awful person this season. She was a brute- and its just a bad look. She could have handled herself with some grace (even at that age) but tried to look cool and failed instead.

Talan dropped out of high school senior year before graduation and moved to LA. He met Frankie in the 'scene' and they ended up living together. When the cast would go to LA, they'd hang with Talan and Frankie. Frankie joins them on their trip to Cabo!

He moved in with Frankie and lived in the same place as Jordan Eubanks and Brian Drolet who were in The Hills, as well as Andy Milonakis. I also know that he lived with Jason Wahler, too. And stayed temporarily at Stephen Coletti's pad. Talan was in bit roles but never quite made it as far as Stephen Coletti.

It never really made sense to me why Kristin seemingly abandoned Jessica in this. I get not agreeing with the fact that she hooked up with Jason, but come on. Jessica was always right by her side when she was cheating on Stephen lol. And Jessica even forgives her later when she hooks up with Jessica’s crush, even though you can tell it really upsets her and Kristin is basically like “whatever”. I don’t know that I’d be able to stay in a friendship where I’m expected to constantly forgive/give grace and offered none in return.

It’s about what’s right. Jessica needed to learn a hard lesson that Jason wasn’t worth any of the trouble she was getting into over him, and since Jessica refused to listen and kept running back to him for more punishment, Kristin was just over it and stepped off rather than stick around for more of that drama. I would’ve done the same thing. Tough love over “loyalty” ANY day!

I didn’t see it as abandoning Jessica but taking a step back and letting the situation play out without becoming intertwined into someone else’s drama. Kristin and Alex H had already done their part (comforted Jess, advised her to make a clean break away from Jason, etc even AFTER she fooled around with Jason again) Jessica didn’t take any heed to the warnings and placed herself in a messy situation. There was nothing left to do but let Jessica learn the hard way

I don’t think Jessica was right in the situation at all (Jason and Alex weren’t either though), but I don’t think Kristin just stepped back to avoid drama. She and Alex H. switched “sides” and left Emily to be Jessica’s only ally. You can support someone without condoning their behavior; Emily obviously thought Jessica messed up too. Being that Kristin had done equally bad or worse things (like cheating on her boyfriend), I think she’s well aware that good people are capable of messed up things. Alex M. could clearly handle herself lol, and Jessica was clearly dealing with deep insecurities. She obviously felt like she deserved to be treated poorly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do unfortunately think that Jessica had to learn the hard way how bad Jason was for her though.

It was nice to see you both show a little more compassion and understanding towards Jessica. I have seen that you both have the ability to remain differentiated. Its also important for people to remember she is just an adolescent child here. This is clearly a young girl who has grown up with a lot of neglect and rejection. Her actions are rooted in trauma. She seems to be quite codependent and people pleasing. Telling someone “you deserve better” then following it up with “you idiot”. Or “you should be better”, but that doesn’t apply to me if I want to be critical of you contradicts itself. She got a lot of that from her not-so-great friends. It doesn’t look enjoyable for Jessica. She looks like a person suffering, and just needing to be nurtured. Having friends like Kristen and Alex would also have been very hurtful. She couldn’t rely on them, and it appears she was always the one left out. Very self focused friends. Emily on the other hand, very kind and patient. I hope she has processed and healed some of her trauma now, and has nicer people in her life.

Completely agree. I think it’s easy to forget that she was a child . Granted, as adults most of us can see right from wrong now but it’s harder to do that when you’re young. Rewatching these episodes and seeing the way Jessica talks about her self always has me saying “poor baby”. In an earlier scene Jessica mentioned that she wasn’t like Kristen, that she wasn’t as pretty and couldn’t get any guy she wanted (to which she settled for Jason) and I think that speaks to how little she valued her self worth. I can’t say I know what her childhood and life was like growing up but it’s clear to see that something was off there. Also not excusing her actions and behaviors but I do think it’s so important to see the whole picture. (And this is coming from a clinical psych graduate student here) I really hope she’s found confidence, self-love, & happiness as an adult now.

I think at this point it’s clear that Jessica was lying to Kristin and Alex H. Putting up with your friends drama is one thing, but to have your friend blatantly lie to your face is completely different. I don’t think that Kristin would of judged her if Jessica had told her the truth. Tea! So I recently watched the podcast on Kristen's channel with Jessica, Alex h(blonde) and Alex m. And Alex h. Alex m. And Kristen were close friends a whole year before MTV came for filming so when they started filming they split up the groups but you can't just have a reality show where everyone gets along so kind of heavily played on storyline and looks and this episode particular makes more sense with Kristen hanging out with Alex m. After the fight because they were the ones that were the original close friend group and were all friends off camera. I thought it was good insight and how much they played up storylines and how things appeared more drama or unclarified because we didn't know the true off screen dynamics.
