The moment with Kelsey and her mom I feel was shown to humanize her. I get what Timmy was saying because it goes against the plot however for someone who has MS I appreciate any mention of the disease in a very real way in entertainment. Most depictions of MS in movies or shows don’t show moments like that so that is appreciated. I know it’s heavy for a young adult show but I’m glad that they did it.
@LoSkip2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I also have MS and appreciate anytime it's shown in a realistic light, even if it's heavy. I feel like the large majority of people just don't know very much about it.

I think it’s important to say that it shouldn’t matter what size she is, no one that you’re friends with should tease you about an insecurity, or fucking comment on your weight. Men say they want confident women then they treat women like this!!!!! Agree Chloe looks great and is no where near “fat”. I’m reluctant to use that word as I think most people use it as an insult.

I really appreciated them including the scenes with Kelsey’s mom. As much as I disagree with how she behaves i don’t think anyone can understand how it feels to be a caregiver in part for your parent or to watch someone you love deal with such a scary disease. I have a couple disabilities and know for a fact it’s shaped by families lives and personalities since it’s happened to me. It’s a domino effect. It makes this show a lot deeper than just who Alex likes atm. Especially since Kelsey seems to be the focus of this season being the new girl. I really related to those scenes and appreciated the change of pace from the superficial drama. Usually agree w Timmy but glad to see some awareness even on a reality show like this. Also I can so see why Madison dated that guy she seems to be a little awkward and nerdy. Nothing wrong with that but watching this over with you guys it’s crazy how different your perspective changes with age and how different I see all these characters now. LOL very funny commentary as usual my fav series to watch during the week thank you guys for all the effort. Ps if you do make march again wondering if you would include plus sizes

I would absolutely go to a genetic counselor if I was Kelsey bc of her mom's MS, autoimmune disorders tend to be present in genetic markers, & now the correlation between the increase in MS diagnoses w/the dreaded virus is truly astounding--there are several studies underway to see exactly how the virus activates the markers to express symptoms, & the same goes w/the correlation of the rona w/myocarditis. So, I have a rather rare genetic disease, I've gone to genetic counseling, &, after a horrible pregnancy & baby loss, I had myself sterilized bc no baby deserves to live the hell I did, being in a children's hospital for months @ a time 3 states away from my family & my school. One of my hs bffs had 2 severe bouts w/the rona, & now she ironically has MS, to the pt that she's undergoing major treatments tho she's under 40 & has 2 babies. Breaks my heart. I have Beal's Syndrome, which causes my body to not produce fibrillin protein, a necessity for building connective tissue, including the cartilage in the ribcage, & I caught the virus from a home healthcare worker that had to come 3x/wk bc I was rejecting the metal, but they couldn't remove the metal after having my frontal ribs & sternum rebuilt, so, right after having a metal framework put in between my ribcage & my organs. I caught the rona from my home health occupational therapy, I had a fever over 105.9F (which is what my thermometer topped off @), & now I have memory issues, so I could only imagine how my gf & Kelsey's mom feels... too tough to think about. I loved genetic counseling though, & I highly recommend it for anyone considering babies or who has a fam history of autoimmune disorders.
